Today I'm bringing you a review of a fantastic snack restaurant in Yeouido — Hyeonseonine Premium IFC Mall Branch!

Anyone who's taken the moving walkway in the underground passage from Yeouido Station to The Hyundai Seoul? Halfway along that walkway there's always been a tteokbokki place catching my eye. I kept passing it and wondering about it. I finally got to visit today after going to The Hyundai to buy a gift! 💖

Hyeonseonine Premium IFC Mall Branch: hours and how to find it

Hyeonseonine Premium IFC Mall Branch is open weekdays 11:00-21:00, weekends 12:00-21:00, and also does takeout/delivery. It's located midway along the underground moving walkway between Yeouido Station and The Hyundai Seoul.

Since it's right in the middle of the moving walkway, it's a perfect stop for when you're hungry before or after shopping at The Hyundai or IFC Mall.

True to being a 'premium' branch, the whole place felt clean and tidy, so it was comfortable to eat there.

There are quite a few seats outside too, so it seems like it could handle plenty of customers even during the lunch rush.

🍽️ What we ordered: the Hyeonseoni Set for 23,000 won

While deciding what to order, I went with the signature 'Hyeonseoni Set,' which lets you try all four Korean snack food staples at once!

You can choose the tteokbokki spice level as mild, medium, or spicy.

The set comes with tteokbokki + fried snacks + sundae + mini gimbap, for ₩23,000. Being able to enjoy four menu items until we were stuffed, for that price, right in the middle of pricey Yeouido, felt like really great value. 👍

Tteokbokki in the mild, non-spicy version

I heard Hyeonseonine's tteokbokki is originally famous for being spicy, so the default level is apparently quite hot! That's why I went with 'mild,' and the result was a total success. It was just pleasantly spicy and sweet with an addictive sauce that suited my taste perfectly. The chewy rice cakes soaked up the seasoning so well that I kept reaching for more.

Sundae with liver and lung

No off-putting smell, just moist and soft — it's a fantastic match dipped in the tteokbokki broth.

It wasn't just plain sundae — chewy, savory liver and lung came along with it, which was such a nice surprise! If you love organ meats, you'll be very satisfied.

Assorted fried snacks: all 5 kinds

The fried snacks come in a generous five varieties: squid, vegetable, sweet potato, kimmari, and mandu.

You could tell the fillings inside the crispy coating were substantial and fried in clean oil, so I ate through the whole thing without any greasiness.

Dipped in the sweet-spicy tteokbokki broth, they went really well together.

Mini gimbap: 4 pieces per set

The mini gimbap comes as 4 pieces per set.

Even though it's just the gimbap included in the set, it wasn't made carelessly at all!

The filling was generous and well-seasoned with a savory kick, and dipped in the tteokbokki broth it was truly a special treat.

Is the Hyeonseoni Set enough for two? Picking a set by headcount

After visiting in person, I immediately got why this place is so famous among Yeouido office workers and visitors as a go-to snack spot near The Hyundai.

✅ No need to worry about portions! Two people finishing it means you'll be completely full

After the two of us finished the Hyeonseoni Set, we were genuinely about to burst! For reference, there's also a 'Hyeonseoni Combo Set' with odeng added to this same lineup — it's a generous portion good for about 3 servings, so I'd recommend it if you're visiting with three people.

✅ A 'Baby Set' for Yeouido solo diners — for those who want to try a little of all four items (tteokbokki, fried snacks, sundae, gimbap) alone, there's a 'Baby Set' too! It seems like a really handy option for eating solo in Yeouido without feeling like it's too much.

✅ Next time, I'm trying the hot-pot-style tteokbokki! I saw the table next to us bubbling away with jeukseok tteokbokki (hot-pot tteokbokki), and the look and smell of it were no joke 🤤. Next time I visit, I definitely want to try that version!
