Gwangalli pizza and pasta combo lunch between sessions: Extra Mile

Seriously. I owe Extra Mile a huge thank-you for the sweet happiness it gave me on my lunch break... Actually, I'm grateful I found this place at all, since I would've walked right past it if not for Superchart. I found it through Superchart, but discount or not, I'd recommend this Gwangalli Western restaurant to anyone!!! The owner was so kind and the place is spotless. Owner, may you make lots of money haha

What Extra Mile looks like inside, and the window seats

Extra Mile is a Western restaurant on the first floor of an alley off Suyeong-ro 554beon-gil in Suyeong-gu, Busan. Such good vibes!!! Hahahahaha it reminded me a bit of that old drama I used to love, 'Temperature of Love,' with a bunch of young chefs gathered together cooking with passion. The whole bright atmosphere of the place was so nice too,

We sat at a window seat with great natural light. The seats overall are all spacious and comfortable.

What comes with the classic combo set at Extra Mile

Honestly, the prices are so, so reasonable. We ordered the classic combo set — one pizza and one pasta — plus romesco roasted vegetables and our own drinks. Bamtong got a draft beer, and I still had conference sessions left so I went with zero-sugar cola.ㅋ.ㅋ. And that guy still managed to drink two whole glasses of draft beer on top of that. Which just means the food was that good, that's all~

While waiting after ordering, you can even do this — coloring sheets that let you keep a little memory of your Busan trip. Gwangan Bridge, the symbol of Gwangalli Beach, and a surfer hahahahaha. It was originally a male surfer, but they turned it into me.hahahahaha

Taco pizza and hot honey pepperoni, split half-and-half for free

First up, the wood-fired pizza. Extra Mile has quite a lot of pizza options, so after much deliberation I went with the unfamiliar taco pizza, and it was a great choice. Hahahaha though it was a bit of a challenge for Bamti, who isn't a big cilantro fan. When we ordered, the kind owner told us we could split it half-and-half, so we asked for half taco pizza and half hot honey pepperoni. And there wasn't even an extra charge for it! The taste of a freshly baked wood-fired pizza, oh man haha. In the end we each ate the half we liked hahahaha

Is the signature white ragu pasta worth ordering?

The signature dish, white ragu pasta. Just toss it well and eat. This was Bamtong's number one pick. This guy, who considers himself a self-proclaimed pasta master, actually once made bisque cream from scratch at home ages ago. I remember how he cooked the crab and shrimp for that long... it took almost half a day to make... With that memory in mind he wanted to order the bisque cream pasta, but I told him to get the ragu instead. Haha... it's basically the law that you have to try the restaurant's actual signature dish. Anyway, our self-proclaimed pasta master ate it up looking thoroughly satisfied. Pretty sure Bamtong finished almost the whole plate. Haha

Romesco roasted vegetables: my top pick at Extra Mile

My number one pick was these romesco roasted vegetables. You dip the roasted vegetables generously into the owner's special house sauce, and wow. The sweetness in the vegetables is no joke. Who knew carrots could taste this good... the carrots were so sweet. Zucchini, the friend of squash, was also something I tried for the first time this way, and it was really delicious. haha

Would Extra Mile work for a first date in Gwangalli?

Eating all this between the two of us, we got so full. But it was so good we cleaned every plate. This place is a genuine strong recommend. It's bright, clean, and the owners are kind, so visiting just puts you in a good mood. And most of all, the food is delicious. So if you're ever on a first date in Gwangalli?! This felt like a great place to go. Though I guess most people don't usually end up on a date in Gwangalli? hehehe
