Songdo sushi restaurant with parking tips and giant shrimp tempura
In short
Sushi Doku The Songdo is a sushi restaurant on the 2nd floor of Onesta Mall in Songdo, Yeonsu-gu, Incheon. Arriving before the Sunday 11am opening, the writer still found a line and ordered two premium sushi sets, packed with shrimp tempura bigger than a palm, mini udon and truffle chawanmushi. When Onesta Mall parking is full, the neighboring Songhyeona building works too, though it offers no parking support.

Sushi Doku Songdo branch
Last weekend, we went to Sushi Doku, a sushi restaurant in Songdo, Incheon that my husband absolutely loves.

There was already a wait before the Sunday opening
Even on a Sunday, it was still packed! We got there before opening time just in case, but there were still a lot of people waiting.

At this Songdo sushi restaurant, when group reservations pile up, walk-ins are seated once those parties leave!! Just so you know~~ group reservations are only possible for 6 or more people!! If you're a party of 5, you might be seated separately, just so you know!!
Onesta Mall parking info
We parked in the Onesta building where Sushi Doku is located, but there are a lot of clinics and restaurants in the building, so parking can be tough even if you come early on a Sunday. Saturdays were even harder to find parking? In that case, you can park at Songhyeona, the building right next door, but note that there's no parking support!!
Sushi Doku is on the 2nd floor of the Onesta building! Just take the elevator right up!

Inside and seating
This is the interior of this Songdo sushi restaurant. It's mostly 4-tops with some 2-tops as well. Group reservations can be seated in room-style seating!
It was worth going in right at opening haha! Because it opens at 11, and the moment it hit 11, every seat but one was filled ㅠㅠ
If you open the drawer right next to the table, there are chopsticks, spoons, wet wipes, etc. inside!! They don't hand out spoons separately, just so you know!!

While waiting outside, you can think ahead about what to order lol. There are à la carte items too, but the sets are so good that I'd recommend going with a set!!

If you write a Naver receipt review, you get one premium sushi piece per person!! Worth ₩6,900 each!!

The premium sushi set for two
We ordered two premium sushi sets. It comes with flounder, red seabream, salmon, squid, sweet shrimp, akami (lean tuna), red shrimp, snow crab, eel, and ankimo (monkfish liver), plus sides of mini udon, salad, tempura (fried dishes), tsukemono (pickles), and truffle chawanmushi (steamed egg).

Just looking at it, it seems really delicious and the spread looks so upscale, right?

Salad
Let me introduce each item one by one, starting with the salad that whets your appetite! That salad dressing is so good that I'd want a refill on the salad alone, it's that tasty!

Mini udon
Next up, mini udon!! Even though it's called 'mini,' the portion is big enough to fill you up lol. And the square fried tofu and the Nemo-shaped fish cake inside are the key points!
The chewy, plump noodles of the mini udon! Having a bite of this before the sushi warms you up inside and totally brings your appetite back haha.
Truffle chawanmushi
Next up~ steamed egg!! aka chawanmushi! This is what makes you think, 'so this is Japanese-style steamed egg~!' — the surface is that smooth and the texture that soft.
It's not seasoned as strongly as the steamed egg you get at Korean BBQ places, so it's light and easy to eat!
Tempura — karaage and giant fried shrimp
Next is tempura, which I absolutely love!! That's what they call it, right?? haha. It comes with 2 pieces of karaage and one huge fried shrimp! It's on a whole different level from the tempura you get at a snack bar... Once you try this tempura, other tempura just won't cut it anymore.

The karaage isn't greasy and lets you taste the chicken's natural flavor, giving you soft, tender meat! And then the giant fried shrimp!! It's a shame the photo doesn't capture the actual size ㅠㅠ It's really huge! I think it's almost bigger than a palm... the batter is crispy and it's genuinely delicious

Ten kinds of sushi, fresh even in summer
Now for the main lineup of this Incheon sushi restaurant! There's fun in tasting sushi made from 10 different kinds of fish~ and even in summer, it always comes out fresh, which makes it even more delicious.
If you're looking for a truly delicious and upscale sushi restaurant in Songdo, Incheon, don't hesitate — definitely give Sushi Doku a try! I guarantee you'll become a regular!!
