Hi, it's Otte's noona (older sister) haha. Since I was up in Seoul anyway, I took my lovely lady and Otte along for an evening date .ᐟ I wanted somewhere dog-friendly with Western food and a glass of wine, so I headed to Billadeubeulleu, a well-known Seongsu spot.
And it made me think again... ah, I want to live in Seoul... hehe
Billadeubeulleu Seongsu's evening atmosphere
Visiting in the evening, the blue-and-white awning and terrace lighting were already on, so the mood felt great even from the alley outside.

Billadeubeulleu is designed to feel like an artist's villa-and-studio somewhere on the southern European coast. Once you know that, the blue tiles, stripe patterns, and wood furniture mixed together make total sense !!!
If you're looking for a date spot near Seoul Forest, I actually liked the evening atmosphere — good for a glass of wine — more than daytime.

Bar seats with a view of the kitchen
The inside has regular tables and a long bar seating area, and from our seats we could catch glimpses of cooking happening in the kitchen. It reminded me of eating at a small restaurant in Italy on a trip years ago... ㅜㅜ ah, time flies~

Most of the other tables were pairing their food with wine too, so even though we were in the middle of buzzing Seongsu, it felt like we'd briefly stepped into a different neighborhood.

Unlimited sparkling wine at ₩12,000 per person
And here's what really caught my eye. Unlimited sparkling wine at ₩12,000 per person .ᐟ It applies to everyone at the table, but if you're ordering a few dishes and planning to sip slowly, it's a pretty solid deal.

Cheers with my lovely lady, and sneaking in a shot of our couple rings too. Hehe, if you're looking for a place to drink wine near Seoul Forest, keep this one in mind!
The three dishes we ordered

House ricotta salad

We started with a salad topped with a big chunk of ricotta cheese right in the center. With greens, cherry tomatoes, and nuts alongside, it was light and easy to share before getting into the mains. Tearing off a good chunk of the soft ricotta and eating it with the greens went really well with the sparkling wine too.
Pulpo mambo

And the dish that won me over visually that day — pulpo mambo (grilled octopus). The octopus legs were thicker than expected, served with big chunks of potato, peas, and sauce.

Cutting a piece of octopus together with the potato gave you such varied textures in one plate — really fun to eat. If you're searching for a pulpo dish near Seoul Forest, this one photographs well and makes a great pairing with wine.
Gorgonzola truffle cream gnocchi
Last was the gorgonzola truffle cream gnocchi. A generous layer of cream sauce with pan-seared gnocchi and nuts on top. Where the pulpo was on the cleaner, lighter side, this one was definitely rich and heavy — a good combination to order all three together.

Bottom line... everything was delicious haha. So even though I said I'd keep taking photos, halfway through I got busy just chatting and eating with my girl over sparkling wine, pfft...
What are the dog-friendly conditions?

And here's the important dog-friendly info for Seoul Forest .ᐟ Small dogs under 7kg can come inside if you have a carrier that fully covers them, head included. Since dogs can't move freely around inside the restaurant, ** I'd recommend double-checking the current policy before you visit.

Thanks to that, the three of us — me, my lovely lady, and Otte — got to spend the evening together, though Otte himself just slept soundly inside the carrier the whole time haha. Good boy, my good boy. For anyone looking for a nice-atmosphere restaurant in Seongsu that's also dog-friendly, this was a pretty big plus.

Would I go back? And a secret route
Good photos, good food, and a solid amount of wine — this ended up being one of the evenings in Seoul I've enjoyed most lately `✦ ˑ ִֶָ 𓂃⊹ If you're like me and want a stylish meal near Seoul Forest with your dog in tow, Billadeubeulleu is worth remembering. I'll probably bring Otte again and start with the sparkling wine next time too, hehe.
The real secret route: take a walk around Seoul Forest before heading to Billadeubeulleu Seongsu, catch the sunset at Seongsu Cloud Bridge, and arrive right after — you'll be in the perfect dreamy mood to enjoy the wine!
