Seongsu evening Italian: Aperol spritz & alfredo cheese lasagna
In short
Billadeubeulleu Seongsu is an Italian restaurant near Exit 5 of Seoul Forest Station, styled like an artist's atelier with a southern European resort vibe. On an September evening visit, the writer ordered an Aperol spritz (₩12,000), abalone squid-ink risotto (₩25,000), and alfredo cheese lasagna (₩22,000), with the tableside cheese-pour lasagna standing out most. The quiet, relaxed Seoul Forest atmosphere makes it a solid pick for both dates and family gatherings.

Once September rolled around and the weather turned cooler, I finally made my way back to Seongsu-dong~ I stopped by some cafés and pop-ups, then headed to Billadeubeulleu for dinner~

I'd heard about Billadeubeulleu for a long time but this was actually my first visit~ Even from a distance the exterior looked so lush and fresh, it really caught my eye~

Apparently Billadeubeulleu started out as a famous restaurant in Haebangchon~ Known for its cheese waterfall lasagna and ghee butter T-bone steak~

The Muse's Atelier concept store atmosphere
The Seongsu branch is designed around the theme of the Muse's Atelier — a space imagined as an artist's studio painting a woman~ Maybe that's why the whole place felt like stepping into a southern European resort~ The sketches of a woman on the walls suited the restaurant so well~

The kitchen is tucked in the far left corner, so you can catch a glimpse of the chefs cooking~ Even from far away, one of them had a real Chef Son Jong-won vibe, so cool~

There's also an unlimited wine event for ₩12,000, worth knowing about~

Ordering the lasagna & risotto with a seashell call button
Now let me get into the food we ordered~ The tables were done in white and blue tiles, giving off a Mediterranean feel~ I wondered why there was a seashell on the table, and it turned out to be a call button when flipped over~

Such a cute little shell call button, made ordering super convenient~

- Alfredo cheese lasagna: ₩22,000
- Abalone squid-ink risotto: ₩25,000
- Aperol spritz: ₩12,000
Aperol spritz (₩12,000)

An Aperol spritz is a famous Italian aperitif cocktail~ Basically orange and grapefruit flavors with a slightly bitter finish, which really seems to work as an appetite booster~
Abalone squid-ink risotto (₩25,000)

The first dish to arrive was the abalone squid-ink risotto, topped with an abalone~ Inside were cubes of squid, which gave it a nice texture~

The abalone was large and super tender, and the risotto itself was nice and chewy~ Overall the squid-ink cream flavor was great, and the soft abalone and squid made it really satisfying~

Alfredo cheese lasagna (₩22,000)
This was the dish I was most looking forward to, since I'd heard the cheese-bomb lasagna was famous~ Staff brought over a pot full of cheese and poured it over the lasagna~ 'Poured' really is the right word rather than 'sprinkled'~

By the time the dramatic cheese pour was done, the lasagna was completely hidden under it~ It's not just cheese either — they mix it with mashed potatoes~

Lasagna is one of Italy's signature baked dishes, made by layering thin, wide pasta sheets with ragù sauce and cheese, then baking it in the oven~

Here the lasagna sheets were stacked three layers high, and the ragù sauce between them had a really deep tomato flavor with tons of meat~ The cheese on top was rich and savory too, and everything went together perfectly~ The abalone squid-ink risotto was also delicious, but honestly I liked the lasagna even more~ Highly recommend~
What kind of gathering suits this Seoul Forest Italian restaurant
Seongsu-dong near Yeonmujang-gil and the area around Seoul Forest have quite different vibes, and Billadeubeulleu Seongsu really captures the Seoul Forest atmosphere~ Rather than lively and crowded, it feels a bit quiet and relaxed~
Both the mood and the food were great, so I'd definitely recommend a visit~ Good for large group dinners or family gatherings, and equally good for dates or small get-togethers~
