Hey guys ~.~ Your resident pork cutlet lover is back! I've had errands near Gangnam-gu Office Station lately haha, so once again I went hunting for a truly delicious pork cutlet spot near the station and I'm cooking up a review right now!!!!!!

The pork cutlet spot I went to this time near Gangnam-gu Office Station is Cheongdam Kkatsu!

It's close to the station so it's easy to get to! And pork cutlet is such an easy thing to eat solo or during a weekday lunch break ^.^ So that's another reason I'd recommend this place, honestly ~

Cheongdam Kkatsu Gangnam-gu Office Station Branch has a really cute storefront haha, but the inside is surprisingly spacious, so they say groups of about 6 can fit! And you can make a Naver reservation here too, so you can book ahead and just show up ~

Clean and tidy ~ seems like a great casual spot when you're craving pork cutlet near Gangnam-gu Office Station, right?! We went around 2pm on a Saturday and got seated with zero wait.

How to order at Cheongdam Kkatsu and what is on the menu

At Cheongdam Kkatsu you can help yourself to extra side dishes and aprons at the self-bar! Ordering is done via tablet at each table! And this place has way more than just cutlets — pork cutlet, kimchi jjigae (kimchi stew), rice bowls, udon, bibim noodles, memil (buckwheat noodles), and more...... great to visit whenever you're craving Japanese food ~.~

So here's what we ordered!!!!!!! Mixed cutlet, mentaiko udon, and salmon + shrimp jang rice bowl >.< Good combo, right! Certified pick from the resident foodie (me).

I wanted noodles, I wanted rice, and I wanted pork cutlet, so we ordered a bit of everything ^.^ But apparently Cheongdam Kkatsu's signature menu is actually the kimchi jjigae + pork cutlet set!

This is it right here!!!!! It looked really good too haha, so if you're heading to Cheongdam Kkatsu, order this one for me, okay ㅋ.ㅋ

What does the mentaiko raw egg bibim udon taste like?

What I ordered was Cheongdam Kkatsu's mentaiko udon!!!!!! I'm a well-known mentaiko (seasoned pollock roe) lover haha, mentaiko is so savory and salty and full of umami, seriously ! ! ! So anyway I tried the mentaiko raw egg bibim udon, and it's genuinely so good ,,,, savory, salty, and the noodles were so bouncy and chewy ㅠㅠㅠㅠ this is seriously delicious so everyone should definitely try it

Salmon jang + shrimp jang rice bowl: salmon cut big enough to need scissors

And the salmon jang + shrimp jang rice bowl was my boyfriend's pick! Ugh, this was also seriously delicious ,,,, you can see the color of the jang (soy-marinated sauce) in the photo — properly aged, so the flavor ran deep, and both the salmon and shrimp were plump and springy, so good >.<

For reference, the salmon jang was so huge we had to cut it with scissors haha. Owner's generosity is top tier.

And of course we couldn't skip Cheongdam Kkatsu's crown jewel — the pork cutlet! Their cheese cutlet is seriously amazing!!!!!! The cheese tasted so milky and deeply savory. It's a depth of flavor you just can't get from a store-bought frozen cutlet ,,, my eyes literally lit up eating the cheese cutlet. Every single dish here is genuinely delicious, seriously!!

Since it's the mixed cutlet, the sirloin cutlet comes along too, and we ate it with the classic winning combo of wasabi + salt ^.^ Hehe, total success — so delicious!

Small plates, wasabi, and salt are all at the self-bar so just help yourself ~

Three dishes between two people: is Cheongdam Kkatsu worth it?

Once again, the two of us cleared three dishes completely ,,,, wasn't there a wedding photoshoot the next day? ^^ ㅎ... it's just too good, what can I do ,,,,,
