Dalmaji-gil restaurant in Busan: chewy truffle gnocchi at Bueokgan

In short

Bueokgan Haeundae Branch is a Western restaurant on the 2nd floor of a building on Dalmaji-gil in Haeundae, Busan, in front of the SK View apartments, with a Chinese restaurant under the same brand on the 1st floor. During a Busan trip the writer ordered sweet potato fries (8,000 won), truffle mushroom cream gnocchi (22,000 won) and shrimp rosé pasta (20,000 won) from the tablet at the table, and the gnocchi was thick, chewy and generously portioned. With a wide hall, sofa seats and baby chairs, Bueokgan Haeundae Branch works just as well for group gatherings as for a date.

What kind of restaurant is Bueokgan Haeundae Branch?

Bueokgan Haeundae Branch is a Western restaurant on Dalmaji-gil in Haeundae, Busan. Bueokgan runs both a Western restaurant and a Chinese restaurant, and at the Haeundae location the two are right next to each other.

The parking area was spacious and the atmosphere was great, so I had a really comfortable time haha. The food was delicious and the staff were friendly 👍👍👍 I had a happy meal while out and about in Busan.

Where is Bueokgan on Dalmaji-gil, and where do you park?

Bueokgan Haeundae Branch is right in front of the Haeundae SK View apartments haha. There's a parking lot here and also one further up, so either works depending on your route. I didn't know about the upper one and parked below, but the lower lot was a bit cramped haha. I'd recommend the upper one.

Wide hall and sofa seats: good for groups or a date?

The interior at Bueokgan Haeundae Branch was really wide and spacious haha, I was surprised. It seems like it would be great as a group gathering spot too. I couldn't believe a place like this exists in Haeundae haha — clean and nice.

The atmosphere is great, so it's also perfect for a date or a blind date haha.

There are comfortable sofa seats too. I grabbed a spot on this wide sofa seat myself haha.

There are baby chairs too, so it's easy to use comfortably haha.

Tablet ordering and the table setting at Bueokgan

You can order at your table using a tablet. There's a couple set and a steak set too, so it's easy to use comfortably. I ordered one sweet potato fries, truffle mushroom cream gnocchi, and shrimp rosé pasta.

After ordering, pickles came out — they seemed like homemade pickles haha.

Ketchup came out too haha. It seemed to come along with the sweet potato fries order.

I really love gnocchi, so I tried the truffle mushroom cream gnocchi too. Unlike other gnocchi, it was really packed with mushrooms.

The portion is really generous too ㅠㅠㅠㅠ.

The gnocchi pieces were big and thick and slightly chewy — genuinely the kind of gnocchi Koreans love ㅠㅠㅠㅠ. It's really thick with a generous portion, so if you like gnocchi, definitely order this. Totally recommend it.

Shrimp rosé pasta, 20,000 won, with five plump shrimp

Is Bueokgan Haeundae Branch worth a meal on a Busan trip?

I came to Busan and found a good spot in Haeundae to have a delicious meal haha. Eating good food in a place with a great atmosphere put me in a good mood, and made me realize there are so many good places in Haeundae.

I especially liked that not only the Western mains but also the side dishes were well done, so you could enjoy a variety of food!!! I could also tell it's a very popular spot with locals from Busan too haha.
