It was already super famous in Dongmyeong-dong, Gwangju, so I was so happy when it opened in Mokpo 🤍 The atmosphere is great too, so it's perfect for a date spot, and also great to come with family or friends!

There are even bar seats where you can sit comfortably alone, and Naver reservations are available, so it's easy to visit, slurp down a bowl, and go 🍽️

Udon-i Wanseongdoeda has such a varied udon menu that you can always try something new. Good, good! Today what I ordered was,

I couldn't give up hot udon, cold udon, meat, or shrimp, so I ordered all of them — what do you think of me?

How does the clam udon taste?

As a human being who loves clam kalguksu (knife-cut noodle soup), I couldn't give up on clam udon! I kept saying I'd order it next time since I always get cold udon bukkake, but today I finally ordered it. 💌

The clam flavor isn't too intense, so it's clean and refreshing to eat — even people who dislike clams should be totally fine with this 👌🏻

I already thought the noodles were delicious, but the hot udon noodles, soft and springy in the warm broth, are a different experience... 🤍

Bukkake udon for 8,900 won with seasonal green tangerine

I had the salmon bukkake before and it was so good I couldn't resist ordering bukkake again, greedily

You can just see how chewy the noodles are — this is exactly why I come to Udon-i Wanseongdoeda...!!! And the bukkake price is shocking, cheaper than a bowl of gukbap (rice soup) at ₩8,900... whoever paid ₩11,000 for sundaeguk yesterday, this is not that.

Right now the bukkake comes with a seasonal green tangerine, so I squeezed the juice over it and it was even better 🍊

Shrimp mayo, free with the review event

The tempura here is genuinely delicious so I order it every time, but since the tempura moriawase (assorted tempura platter) I had before was quite a lot and I knew I'd regret ordering three dishes, I got the shrimp mayo instead 〰️ But the shrimp mayo is seriously so good, you should definitely order it... for real, try it, try it.... honestly even the batter alone is delicious. And if you write a review event post, it's free!!!

Flame-grilled short rib rice bowl for meat lovers over noodles

You might wonder why a grilled pork rib rice bowl is on an udon restaurant's menu, but this pork rib bowl is genuinely my boyfriend's favorite food 🔥🔥🔥

Meat lovers absolutely must order this grilled pork rib bowl — the rib size is insane, the portion is generous, the sauce is rich and sweet, and the charred aroma is insane. Insane times four, you have to order it.

If you're not in the mood for noodles today, this is the dish I'd always recommend — the meat is tender and well-seasoned, so definitely give it a try 😋 A perfect Mokpo lunch recommendation! The menu is so varied it's great for family outings too, and the atmosphere makes it a good date spot as well. The house-made udon noodles, the crispy tempura, and the pork rib udon loaded with meat were all so delicious — I left completely satisfied with this Peace Plaza favorite, Udon-i Wanseongdoeda. 🙌
