I went to check out a Pangyo lunch spot. I'd been craving meat for a while, so I headed to Bulgogi On Soban in the basement of Samhwan Hypace. I wasn't there for a company dinner, but once I saw the place, I thought it would be perfect for a group lunch. The space is big and there are plenty of tables, so a whole team could easily come here. I had the garlic flower short rib bulgogi (kkotgalbisal, flower-cut short rib) at this Pangyo lunch spot, served hot and sizzling on a hot plate. Let me tell you about Bulgogi On Soban.
Where is Bulgogi On Soban Pangyo Branch? Samhwan Hypace Building A, basement level 1

Bulgogi On Soban Pangyo Branch is on the basement floor of Samhwan Hypace Building A. It's already a well-known lunch spot among office workers in Pangyo Techno Valley. Even though it's underground, the entrance is bright and clean, so it wasn't hard to find.

There's a break time and a last order time, so check before you visit! If you're looking for a Pangyo lunch spot, I'd recommend this one.
Why Bulgogi On Soban is a popular group lunch spot in Pangyo

Bulgogi On Soban Pangyo Branch has tables for 4, but also plenty of tables for 6 and 8 in a spacious hall. I wasn't there alone — I went for lunch with a companion — and I was surprised by how big it was the moment we walked in. It would be perfect for a group lunch outing.

You wouldn't have to worry about seating even if a whole team came for lunch together. I expected it to feel cramped since it's in the basement of Samhwan Hypace, but it's much more spacious and comfortable than I thought. The tidy feel would also make it nice for hosting guests. Among Pangyo lunch spots, this one is ok for group dinners.
What we ordered: garlic flower short rib bulgogi, 18,000 won

- Garlic flower short rib bulgogi ₩18,000
You can get it for ₩18,000 with a Naver reservation. They also had regular pork bulgogi and mixed bulgogi, but that day I wanted to eat meat properly, so I went with the flower short rib haha.
Individual trays: how Bulgogi On Soban sets each person's side dishes

After ordering, we waited a bit and the individual table setting (soban) came out first.

Rice, bean sprout soup, pickled onions, cubed radish kimchi (kkakdugi), corn salad and other side dishes were set out separately for each person. Rather than several people sharing side dishes, having them come out neatly portioned per person seemed like it would be convenient even for a group dinner.

The rice was multigrain rice, which felt hearty! Having it served as an individual table setting is great hygienically for group lunches. It's nice that each person's portion is set separately. This Samhwan Hypace lunch spot has a solid table setup too.
How does the garlic flower short rib bulgogi taste?

The main dish, garlic flower short rib bulgogi, came out on a hot plate. Watching it sizzle on the plate made me want to dig in right away haha.

The flower short rib wasn't heavily seasoned, so I could really taste the meat itself.

There was a subtle garlic flavor that went really well with rice. Grabbing meat, onion, and mushroom together and piling them on rice is genuinely delicious!
Filling with the side dishes, plus a side of gyeranjjim (steamed egg)

Eating just the flower short rib could get a bit rich, but with the pickled onions and radish kimchi, I could eat until the end without feeling weighed down. The corn salad was surprisingly moreish too. It was great to grab a bite of it between pieces of meat.

The bean sprout soup also came out with the meal, perfect for when you need something warm and brothy. We also ordered the steamed egg (gyeranjjim) as a side, and the fluffy egg went really well with the rice.

Among Pangyo lunch spots, the whole spread felt clean and put-together, so I think it would work well as a group lunch menu too.
