Today I want to introduce Cheongdam Jokbal Gwanggyo Sanghyeon Branch, which my husband and I visited after work.
I went because it's a place near Sanghyeon Station where you can eat a freshly boiled, still-warm dish right away — the chewy skin and tender meat were delicious, and the makguksu (cold buckwheat noodles) that comes as a default side made the whole set-up even better. So for anyone looking for a dinner spot or a place for a family meal out, let me walk you through everything from the location to what we ordered!

Cheongdam Jokbal Gwanggyo Sanghyeon Branch is at 10 Gwanggyojungang-ro 296beon-gil, 1F #107, Suji-gu, Yongin-si, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea, open daily from 11:30 to 23:30 (last order 22:30, no break time). You can use the building's underground parking lot free for 2 hours, and it's close to Exit 2 of Sanghyeon Station, so it's convenient by public transit too.
We live near Sanghyeon Station so we walked there, and the accessibility was great — plus with 2 hours of free parking in the building, it's also a very convenient spot if you're driving!
Coming out of Exit 2, keep the Gong Cha building on your right, go inward, then turn right past the phone case shop, and
you'll see Cheongdam Jokbal across the street ~
The neighborhood itself is quiet, so it's great for dinner after work, a family meal out, or a casual drink, too — I'd recommend it, haha.
How many tables does the restaurant have?
The interior is set up with 6 tables and is clean.
Even if every seat were full, it felt like you could still enjoy dinner in a quiet atmosphere.

According to the sign in the store, they use 100% domestic fresh trotters, boiled in-house every day and sold the same day — so if you want freshly boiled jokbal, definitely make a visit!
Medium-size warm jokbal: enough for two people?
We ordered the freshly boiled warm jokbal, medium size.
My husband and I shared it, and the portion was plenty.
First off, it being served warm right away was so great.
The skin was chewy and springy, while the meat, in contrast, was really tender — no dryness at all, just a melt-in-the-mouth texture that kept me reaching for more. (My husband said it was so good he even picked up the bones to gnaw on, lol.)
It was also nice to dip small amounts in the salted shrimp or the various sauces served alongside.
Between eating it plain, dipping it in sauce, and wrapping it in lettuce, there was never a dull moment...
We were chatting away as we ate, and before we knew it, we'd nearly finished the whole thing, haha.
And a beer on the side made it even better... <3
Free makguksu and bean sprout soup with the meal
Personally, what I liked most that day was the complimentary side dishes.
When you order a main dish dine-in, free makguksu (cold buckwheat noodles) comes along with it, which was such a welcome surprise.
Eating a bite of meat followed by the tangy makguksu was such a good match. (This combo is hard to get wrong, honestly...)
Wrapping the warm, chewy meat together with the noodles in one bite was especially great, haha.
Bean sprout soup came out too, and having it between bites felt clean and refreshing.
5,000 won off every takeout order
They said there's a ₩5,000 discount on takeout orders.
If you plan to eat at home, definitely try the freshly boiled jokbal at a nice price with the ₩5,000 takeout discount!!
Personally, if it's your first visit, I think it's also great to eat it warm, fresh in the restaurant.
What we ate that day, eaten right while warm, really let the chewiness and tenderness shine through even more.

My husband and I visited for dinner after work, and we both ate really well.
Above all, the combo of chewy skin plus melt-in-the-mouth meat was great, and the makguksu that came as a side matched it perfectly.
The medium size was plenty for two, and with the bean sprout soup too, it was a clean, satisfying way to finish.
Before we knew it, the plate was empty...
Next time I'd like to try other menu items too.
