Spicy braised chicken restaurant in Yangsan: Eonyang Dak Kalguksu

Eonyang Dak Kalguksu Tongdosa Branch is a chicken noodle (dak kalguksu) and braised chicken restaurant on Tongdosa-ro in Habuk-myeon, Yangsan, Gyeongnam. Visiting with a child, the writer ordered dak kalguksu (10,000 won), a whole gochu jjimdak (spicy braised chicken, 26,000 won, serves 2–3) and a bowl of rice, tasting the house-made noodles and spicy sauce along with two kinds of kimchi from the self-bar and ice cream for dessert. With a large lot behind the building and baby chairs on hand, Eonyang Dak Kalguksu Tongdosa Branch is worth a return trip for a family meal.

Changwon City Seven hair salon: blunt bob and botox perm at VOG HAIR

VOG HAIR Changwon City Seven Branch is a hair salon on the 3rd floor of City Seven in Daewon-dong, Changwon. After a consultation with designer Chaeyeon, the writer dropped the planned tassel cut for a blunt bob plus a botox perm (magic straightening), with a scalp diagnosis deciding the products and method. The finished look is a straight blunt bob at the chin line that grows naturally longer toward the front — worth a look if your short hair is damaged from frequent perms and straightening.

Geoje gukbap restaurant Bongga Gukbap: mixed gukbap and small suyuk

Bongga Gukbap is a gukbap (rice and soup) and suyuk (boiled pork) restaurant near Jukrim Port in Geoje-myeon, Geoje. On a late-morning stop during a Geoje trip, the order was mixed gukbap for 9,000 won, Bongga beef gukbap for 10,000 won and small suyuk for 33,000 won, and the suyuk arrived with an earthenware pot of pork gukbap broth alongside. Clean broth with no gamey smell plus house-made kimchi and kkakdugi make Bongga Gukbap an easy recommendation for a hangover-cure meal.

Western restaurant near Namyangsan Station with easy parking: Bueokgan

Bueokgan Restaurant Yangsan Oslo Park Branch is a Western restaurant inside Oslo Park near Namyangsan Station in Yangsan, Gyeongnam. Two of us shared shrimp rosé pasta and margherita pizza with a cabbage Caesar salad, and the large underground parking lot at Oslo Park meant no parking stress even at lunchtime. The cabbage Caesar salad cut the richness so well that neither of us felt weighed down after finishing everything.
