We had clam kalguksu for two and an octopus, nakji, shrimp, and seafood pajeon; the clams were plump and the broth was refreshingly spicy. Verdict: a place I want to revisit when I’m craving warm, spicy noodles and a seafood-loaded pancake.
Eonyang Dak Kalguksu Tongdosa Branch is a Korean restaurant near Tongdosa in Yangsan, Gyeongnam. After the Tongdosa stamp tour, I had chicken kalguksu, chicken gomtang, and chewy dumplings with spicy kimchi. Verdict: a warming, filling stop before or after a Tongdosa outing.

After looking around the exhibition and varied seating, we tried an Americano, honey almond banana juice, mentaiko salt bread, and Matilda cake—all delicious. Verdict: a relaxed place to linger over art, coffee, and bakery treats.

Ppyeodae Itneun Haejangguk Juchon Branch is a Korean restaurant in Juchon, Gimhae, serving gamjatang, pyeonyuk, and seasoned raw crab. The ₩40,000 two-person set with dolsotbap was loaded with tender meat, rich broth, and more than enough food; this is a seriously satisfying meal.

We visited with two children and ordered two bossam sets plus one extra bowl of rice, and loved the generous side dishes and children’s tableware. Verdict: Gaya Kkeutjip is a great choice for a family meal.

I took out a chicken pasta protein box and a salmon light protein box; the chicken breast was generous and the grilled salmon was mild, though sauces were already added to the food.
Jinhae Jang Bone Kalguksu, Yangsan Branch is a Korean restaurant in the Beomeo development area opposite Pusan National University Yangsan Hospital. My boyfriend and I had boneless bone kalguksu and a small galbi-flavored grilled pork bone dish; the broth and tender meat stood out, though the kimchi was very spicy.
Vivienne Hair, Changwon Sangnam branch is a hair salon on Danjeong-ro in Sangnam-dong, Changwon. I visited on a weekday afternoon for a trim of damaged ends and an all-over ash brown color while keeping my length, and was pleased that my hair looked neater and calmer afterward.
