Hooni Crab Cheonan is a crab restaurant serving soy sauce marinated crab (ganjang gejang), spicy marinated crab (yangnyeom gejang) and blue crab stew, using only domestic blue crab from Yeonpyeongdo Island and no imported or frozen pre-cut crab. Hooni Crab Cheonan buys its blue crab directly from Yeonpyeongdo boat owners, seasons it with house-brewed Korean soy sauce (joseon ganjang) and domestic chili powder and garlic, and also offers soy sauce marinated shrimp made with Sinan shrimp.

Hooni Crab Cheonan is run by the son of the third generation, who carries on a family marinated crab recipe that began in the late 1980s at Suyeong Paldo Market in Busan. Besides the set meals, Hooni Crab Cheonan sells soy sauce marinated crab, spicy marinated crab and roe-filled soy sauce marinated crab separately for takeout or as add-on orders.
