Daejeon rooftop brunch with bulgogi pizza: Someday Romance

We had such a lovely time when I brought my child here last time~ He said he really wanted to come back with Dad, so at last I visited Someday Romance (썸데이로맨스), a Dunsan-dong brunch spot, with my son and husband.

Someday Romance location and hours

It is nicely located 751 m from Exit 6 of City Hall Station, on the sixth floor of Save Zone in Dunsan-dong.

Use the Save Zone parking lot

Because it is inside Save Zone, the parking lot is spacious and plentiful! Parking can be difficult in Dunsan-dong, but no need to worry here.

Be sure to validate your parking at the Return Zone after your meal before you leave!

A Southeast Asian-style rooftop in central Dunsan-dong

Get off the elevator on the sixth floor and—are we abroad? Someday Romance has a gorgeous outdoor rooftop that feels like Southeast Asia. It was winter when I came last time, so it was cold, but...

Maybe because of the water, it feels wonderfully cool~~

Everywhere you look is an Instagram-worthy photo spot, so it is perfect for a Dunsan-dong date. Couples on dates and children will all love the outdoor view.

We visited around 6, when it was still a little light, but Someday Romance would probably look even more wonderful around 7 as the sun goes down. A Daejeon Tanbang-dong restaurant recommendation!

The entire sixth floor is Someday Romance, so it is incredibly spacious. It is a brunch café with every little interior detail done so beautifully. Though indoors, it has the feeling of being outside—or of being overseas—with its exotic décor! I cannot believe there is a place this lovely in the middle of the city; I need to tell everyone about it.

There are also plenty of large tables for groups,

and even an indoor waterway running through the middle!!! Looking at it like this, it feels a little like a wedding aisle, too!!

It has a camping feel too, right?

There is a truly huge private room toward the back. It can fit nearly 20 people, so group gatherings of all kinds, including seminars, are possible.

Menus are on every table, and you order at the kiosk. There is such a variety—pizza, pasta, risotto, pilaf, drinks, and desserts—making it a fantastic Dunsan-dong brunch choice. There is a Pickup Zone and Return Zone for the food, so please note that it is self-service.

I picked up what we needed at the self-service station before the food came out. Basic tableware is set at each table. While you look around Someday Romance inside and out, the food comes out in no time!

Our order, from bulgogi pizza to pilaf

Our food is here! A 14-inch bulgogi pizza was ₩17,000, cream pasta ₩12,900, Mongolian pilaf ₩15,900, and Basque cheesecake ₩7,000. Three dishes plus dessert made for a table completely full of food.

The pizza is bigger than it looks in the photos. One whole pie comes out so generously~~ The kids loved the pizza so much last time that we ordered it again today. This is a great pizza spot, so I definitely recommend trying it.

The pizza dough is thin and not greasy, which I loved. It is loaded with toppings, and the outer edge is fairly crisp!! The sweet sauce is the charm of this bulgogi pizza.

Cream pasta with adjustable spice

It is cream pasta with chilies in it, so I worried it might be spicy, but you can adjust the heat. It is cream pasta, but essentially carbonara.

There was plenty of cream sauce, broccoli, and bacon too. I wondered why it came in a stainless-steel bowl, but it was nice because it kept the food warm for a long time.

A satisfying Mongolian pilaf

You can adjust the spice in the Mongolian pilaf too. At the standard level it was not spicy for adults, though my child said it had a slight kick. Maybe it was the color, or perhaps that was how he perceived the smoky wok flavor!

It had bean sprouts, seafood, and meat. There was a generous amount of rice as well, making it a satisfyingly filling dish.

After the meal, we were thinking of ordering drinks for dessert, but someone said they wanted cake, so we ordered cheesecake too.

There are many dessert options, including cakes, so it would be nice to come just for a coffee as well as a meal. If you want your Dunsan-dong brunch date to have atmosphere too, future dates are at Someday Romance.
