Sapporo vs Ebisu draft beer taste test at Ganppa Beer Gwangalli 2
In short
Ganppa Beer Gwangalli 2 is a Japanese-style standing bar near Gwangalli in Suyeong, Busan, pouring an official Sapporo collab draft in ultra-thin glasses. The writer compared it against Ebisu draft, tried the Ganppa special tebasaki (chicken wings) set, and even won a free draft beer in a rock-paper-scissors event. The side dishes were just so-so, but the beer and energy make it a solid pick for a second-round bar in Gwangalli.

I want to introduce a bar with insane atmosphere that I found on a trip to Busan. It's the kind of standing bar you'd see in Japan, and it's officially collaborating with Sapporo on its draft beer — let's head to Ganppa Beer Gwangalli 2 together.

This is a Gwangalli bar that stakes its life on draft beer quality, following the rule of using its official Sapporo collab draft within 24 hours.

What's the standing bar atmosphere like?
The vibe of the place is super hip ~ Even from outside you can feel the hot energy inside — this is Ganppa Beer Gwangalli 2, a Gwangalli hotspot.

There's a huge stack of kegs in front of the store! The combo of wood and aluminum colors gives it a distinct atmosphere.

We were 3rd in line, but since it's a standing bar, turnover is fast so we got in quickly. Inside, the energy was overflowing, almost bursting! There were a lot of foreigners and young people, but this middle-aged guy snuck in to enjoy it too.

Getting a window seat at a hotspot isn't easy... we ended up sharing a table with another group.

All the various decor pieces inside the store give off such a hip feeling! It's been a while since I've been in a vibe like this, but let's adapt haha.

Looking toward the back of the store, you can see photos of the countless people who've visited, and we left our own certification shot too haha.

NO BEER NO LIFE
A life without beer has no meaning... well, it's not quite meaningless, but that happiness a glass of beer gives you, haha, it's kind of right.

The best SET menus are the Ganppa special tebasaki (chicken wings) + 2 Sapporo drafts for ₩26,900, Ganppa fried chicken skin + 2 Sapporo drafts for ₩25,900, and spicy-sweet gyoza addiction + 2 Sapporo drafts for ₩24,900. With good value prices and plenty of light snacks, I'd recommend Ganppa Beer Gwangalli 2 to anyone looking for a second-round bar in Gwangalli.
Sapporo draft vs Ebisu draft and tebasaki: an honest review
Ganppa special tebasaki set + 2 Ebisu drafts. Being a beer specialist shows even in the skill of pouring! They say it uses a direct-draw system without going through a chiller, extracting the freshness of the keg itself.

Wow ~ just look at the visuals haha. The glass is an ultra-thin type, so the feeling against your lips is great and the coldness comes through perfectly 👍👍👍 The beer taste is the best draft I've had in a while! And the carbonation held up well over time too. I chugged the first glass in one go though 🤣
In between, the staff ran a rock-paper-scissors game, and whoever won all the way got a free draft beer. Ganppa Beer Gwangalli 2 was heated up by the rock-paper-scissors event!

The tebasaki was the textbook definition of sweet-and-salty, and the side dish quality was just so-so. Overall the food menu isn't too heavy, so it seems like a great spot for a light second-round visit.

The Sapporo draft was so good we immediately ordered an Ebisu draft too! Maybe our expectations were too high... it wasn't as good as the Sapporo draft.

Review raffle event and rock-paper-scissors prizes
If you leave a review on Naver, Google, Kakao, or Catch Table, you can enter a raffle event ~ they offer various prizes from 1st to 5th place.

We got one each of 4th and 5th place! 4th place was a Sapporo draft beer, and 5th place had a choice between a polaroid photo or a rock-paper-scissors match where winning doubles your money starting from ₩1,000. I heard someone once won over ₩100,000 playing rock-paper-scissors ~ we lost in round 2 and got a draft beer.

A Sapporo draft won as a prize! We had a great time with delicious draft beer in such an energetic atmosphere. If you're looking for a good second-round bar in Gwangalli, you should definitely visit Ganppa Beer Gwangalli 2 ^^
If you've been missing the taste of Japanese draft beer, Ganppa Beer Gwangalli 2 is a must-visit. Why not end a day of your Busan trip with the insanely good Sapporo draft from their official collab, in a space full of energy?? I'd definitely visit again ^^
