Osan Chinese restaurant to share beef brisket jjamppong: Dami Sik

In short

Dami Sik is a Chinese restaurant on Sumogwon-ro 49beon-gil in Osan, Gyeonggi, where the signature dish is stone jjajang (black bean noodles) served sizzling on a hot stone plate. On this visit Dami Sik's stone jjajang, woo-samgyeop jjamppong (spicy noodle soup with beef brisket) and yuringi (crispy fried chicken with sweet-sour sauce) were ordered to share: the yuringi was crisp and tangy, the jjamppong broth deep and heavy, and the jjajang sauce thick. Dami Sik suits a group ordering several dishes to share rather than one bowl each.

I'd been craving proper Chinese food for a while, so I went to Dami Sik! It's located at 55 Sumogwon-ro 49beon-gil, 1st floor, Osan-si, Gyeonggi-do, and you can park right beside the restaurant, so driving there was pretty convenient. Hours are 11:00–21:40, closed every Sunday. When you're hunting for Osan restaurants these days, parking can be surprisingly tricky at a lot of places, so I liked that this one had easy parking sorted from the start haha.

Inside Dami Sik: roomier than it looks

I walked in and the interior was way bigger than I expected. The tables have decent space between them too, so it looked good for a family meal or a group gathering.

There was a baby chair and a disposable apron ready, and these little details were pretty nice! Plus you can fry your own egg for free at a self-serve corner, which is honestly a nice bonus lol. Frying one up while waiting made me weirdly happy.

This time we ordered stone jjajang, woo-samgyeop jjamppong, and yuringi. Side dishes came out first, and after a short wait, the yuringi showed up first! Crispy fried chicken topped with a sweet-and-sour sauce, and the sauce flavor was really my taste. The fry was crispy and the sauce was tangy-sweet, so I kept reaching for more. No room to get greasy — this one's a low-key standout.

How rich is Dami Sik's beef brisket jjamppong broth?

Then came the woo-samgyeop jjamppong. Wow, the broth is pretty rich. It's not just spicy — the broth itself felt heavy and dense, like it could work as a hangover cure lol. There was plenty of seafood inside plus beef brisket (woo-samgyeop), so digging through the toppings was fun. The noodles were chewy too, so eating them together with the broth was a great combo. If you like this kind of hearty spot when looking for Osan restaurants, I think you'll be satisfied.

Dami Sik's stone jjajang: sizzling on the hot plate

Thick jjajang sauce and noodles

The stone jjajang stole the show the moment it arrived. It comes out sizzling on a hot stone plate, and just the sound already screams delicious lol. It kept bubbling away even while I was taking photos, making me want to dig in right away. The jjajang sauce wasn't thin at all — it was quite thick and dense. The sauce clung to the noodles, and the more you ate, the more the rich flavor came through! Personally, out of everything we had that day, the stone jjajang was the most memorable.

I get why stone jjajang always comes up when people talk about Osan Chinese restaurants. The portion is generous, good for sharing with a group, and the sizzling visual makes it a nice pick for a family meal too. Overall, Dami Sik felt less like a place you go just for one bowl of jjajang and more like a spot for ordering several dishes and sharing them together.

Is it worth ordering all three dishes at Dami Sik?

Yuringi was crispy-tangy, woo-samgyeop jjamppong was rich and spicy, stone jjajang was thick and dense! Each one had a totally different vibe, which made trying a bit of everything fun. So if you're looking for Osan restaurants or an Osan Chinese restaurant, I'd personally recommend ordering multiple dishes together haha. The stone jjajang especially seems worth trying at least once.

If you're looking for a spot for a family meal in Osan or a hearty Osan restaurant, Dami Sik seems like a good pick. Next time, I think I'd order the stone jjajang plus one more dish lol. If you're stuck deciding what to order at an Osan Chinese restaurant, this might be worth keeping in mind :) Above all, the portions were generous across the board and the flavors were solid, so it felt like a great Osan restaurant for a group visit. Sharing each dish made it more fun too haha. Next time I'm looking for an Osan Chinese restaurant, I think I'll come back to Dami Sik. I'll have to try a dish I haven't had yet lol. If you're weighing your options for Osan restaurants, this place seems worth a visit!
