Konkuk Station ice cream shop, ₩1,900 Americano: Beurre Beurre

Beurre Beurre Konkuk University Rodeo Branch is the Konkuk-area location of the butter ice cream shop that's popular in Seongsu. I heard it wasn't the Seongsu branch but a new one opened near Konkuk Station, so on a weekend walk to Children's Grand Park I stopped by on the way to cool off from the heat.

Beurre Beurre is famous for its butter ice cream, right? I'd tried it at another branch before and totally got why it's popular... because it's butter ice cream, the flavor is super dense? The texture is heavy.

I was playing around at Children's Grand Park on the weekend and figured since it's just one stop to Konkuk entrance, I'd walk over, but the weather was surprisingly hot and I got tired ㅠㅠ So I decided to cool off with a refreshing dessert — ice cream!! Nothing beats ice cream as a summer dessert~~

How many flavors does Beurre Beurre have?

Beurre Beurre has 16 flavors total. Since I pass by and grab one every so often, I think I've already tried about 6 flavors haha

I heard Beurre Beurre is mostly takeout, but the Konkuk Rodeo branch actually had 2 small seats haha. Since I'd been walking SO much and was worn out from the heat, I ordered and sat down to eat inside, and the heat cooled off in no time haha

Beurre Beurre ice cream prices and drinks

Like Baskin Robbins, they also have takeout cup sizes divided into triple, quadruple, etc. At ₩4,700 for a single, it's about the same as Baskin Robbins I'd say?

Beurre Beurre also sells Americano, which was originally ₩3,500 but is now ₩1,900 on a discount event!!!! That's cheaper than a low-price coffee chain!!!

Besides Americano, they also sell a variety of drinks like lattes, smoothies, and non-coffee options. Until now I thought Beurre Beurre only sold ice cream haha;;

At Beurre Beurre Konkuk Station branch you order via kiosk haha. I really love ice cream, so whenever summer comes and I spot an ice cream shop while walking by, I end up going in to buy some. They had mint choco, chocolate, fruit flavors and more.

They also had matcha flavor which I'd been curious about for a while, so next time I'll go for matcha~~~!

What does the Kkuberkkuber single cone taste like?

I ordered single cones~~ Kkuberkkuber and Umchindal (엄친딸, "best friend's daughter" flavor). Kkuberkkuber is introduced as Beurre Beurre's best menu item, an ice cream with both cookies and butter at once, but you can basically think of it as cookies and cream. Instead of cookies + cream, it's cookies + butter, so the flavor is basically cookies and cream but heavier than a typical cookies and cream.

Since Beurre Beurre is butter ice cream, the overall texture is denser than other ice creams. I used to have the preconception that ice cream with butter in it must be greasy — I hadn't bought it before even though it was famous — but it's not greasy at all, it just has a denser, heavier density. So butter doesn't mean greasy, no way lol

Umchindal's key point is the strawberry chunks

I was craving something sweet and fruity today so I ordered Umchindal. It's exactly that "falling in love" flavor. It's basically just a dense strawberry ice cream lol. This is totally a flavor kids would love!!!

There were strawberry chunks scattered throughout, which was really delicious, so good. Biting into the strawberry pieces is the key point! I had a preconception that Beurre Beurre would be greasy, but once you try it, you really realize how scary preconceptions can be haha. It's right in front of Konkuk University Station so whenever I have a reason to come to Konkuk, I think I'll buy it often. Actually even not in Konkuk I buy it a lot...lol
