Why I decided to get my nails done before wedding photos
Desperate bride energy, that's me haha. While looking through wedding photo reviews I noticed a lot of shots that focus on hands. I don't usually get my nails done that often, but this time I felt like I had to. After searching around for a place good at wedding nails, I found Naeil Didi, a nail salon in Apgujeong Rodeo! Spoiler: I was completely satisfied ❤️

Before the full review, let me show you the before-and-after first! I wanted a delicate, pale pink mood, and I brought that reference in with me beforehand :)
Naeil Didi's location and basic info
It's within walking distance of Apgujeong Rodeo Station, so it's easy to get to, and if you have a car, valet parking is available.

Search Naeil Didi, walk into the building that comes up, and take the elevator up — it's on the 5th floor!

Both the pedicure area and the nail area were neatly organized, and thanks to the sunlight the lighting was great too. There was even a phone stand set up next to the nail seats — such a thoughtful touch!
Choosing a wedding nail design
I checked out Naeil Didi's Instagram beforehand and also looked up wedding nail references before visiting!

When you get there, there's a wide range of colors and art designs on display, so even if you haven't decided on a design yet, you can just come in and figure it out during the consultation haha.

I came in with a design in mind — a delicate pink look using magnetic gel! Using the membership rate makes it a bit cheaper, and I actually visited on a weekday, and even in the morning there were regulars coming in — it's clearly a popular spot (and honestly, no wonder, the quality is seriously good... so meticulous!)
From nail extensions to the magnetic gel finish
Once the design was decided, they started with nail prep. My nails had grown out to an awkward short length, so since I wanted them to look prettier in studio photos, I asked for extensions to get a nicer length and shape, so extensions were included in the process :)

This is what my short nails looked like right after shape and cuticle cleanup — so neat and tidy, my hands already looked so much better!

The attention to detail stood out during the extension work too — after attaching the tips, they checked whether the length felt right, and even carefully confirmed that both hands matched in length, which made the finished design look so much more polished!

For the base color underneath the delicate tone, they showed me two color samples first so I could pick the one I wanted! They also suggested that if I wanted a cleaner design, adding a base coat layer underneath would help, so I trusted their recommendation and went with it haha.

For the magnetic gel too, they showed me three different types in person and let me pick the design I wanted! The whole time I was getting my nails done, it felt like fully customized, one-on-one service, so I was able to bring my exact vision to life. Out of every place I've been to, this was the most thorough, kind, and high quality — I genuinely loved it!
How long did it take
With extension tips and the magnetic gel design, the whole process took about 2 hours 15 minutes. I was curious so I asked, and they said without extensions it usually takes about 1–2 hours depending on the design!
How well it held up after wedding photos
The nails looked even prettier in real life than in the photos and videos! Friends saw them and told me I made the right call, saying they were so pretty — if you're looking for nails before wedding photos, I really recommend this place haha. When you're preparing for a wedding, Apgujeong Rodeo and Cheongdam are usually the areas you end up going to most anyway! It's close by, so it's perfect to stop by together :)
Now that I've had my nails done and finished my wedding photos, they're still holding up really well, and I'm very satisfied with the durability. Gel nails usually feel like they damage my nails, so I don't get them often, but this time my nails didn't feel damaged at all — totally satisfied! I'm planning to go back to Naeil Didi for my actual wedding day nails too >,<
