Milmyeon (chewy cold buckwheat noodles) — a dish you can only eat in summer!!! Well, actually I could eat it in winter and fall and spring too.... haha but my husband isn't a huge fan, so let's just say it's a food I only get to eat often in summer... okay haha

So, milmyeon haha. If you're from Busan, you have your own personal milmyeon restaurant ranking, right? Hahahaha I've tried pretty much every decent milmyeon place and I actively seek them out, and would you believe there's a top-tier Busan milmyeon spot right in Seomyeon too?

Where is Seomyeon Milmyeon? Hours and parking

Seomyeon Milmyeon is at 25 Seojeon-ro, Busanjin-gu, Busan, South Korea, inside Eos Plaza, and it's open daily from 10:30 to 21:30 (last order 21:00). You can park at the Eos building's own parking lot.

Being a proper Seomyeon Station restaurant, it's a 5-minute walk from Exit 8 of Seomyeon Station! Actually, more like 2–3 minutes haha

Arriving for the 10:30 opening: how long is the wait?

Seomyeon Milmyeon opens at 10:30, and by going right at opening time I could sit down with no wait at all. Since Seomyeon Station gets so many travelers, even though it opens early, there were already a lot of people around haha. I did the classic open-run thing myself... hehe

I'd passed by this place many times before and the wait was always brutal, so this time I deliberately avoided lunch hour and came early. This is truly THE Busan milmyeon restaurant in Seomyeon!!!!

Having its own dedicated parking lot was really convenient haha

How to order at Seomyeon Milmyeon and what's on the menu

The Seomyeon Milmyeon menu is just three things: bibim milmyeon, water milmyeon, and dumplings. No number tickets or anything — you just order ahead and let them know your party size, and they seat you in order.

(Extra noodles and larger portions are, of course, available haha.) I liked how bare-bones the menu was haha. My partner and I happily ordered one water, one bibim, and dumplings! Luckily we got seated right away without waiting.

I knew it was a Seomyeon favorite, but Seomyeon Milmyeon was even more famous than I expected!!!

It's been on TV multiple times, and apparently a lot of celebrities have visited too.

They simmer bone broth for 72 hours to make each bowl of milmyeon, cooking with the mindset of a parent, apparently ♥️ All I could think after ordering was how fast I wanted to eat it... haha

The noodles are so soft they actually tell you not to cut them with scissors?

Seomyeon Milmyeon has a self bar and a dedicated space for storing luggage. Definitely a Seomyeon Station restaurant that gets a ton of travelers!!!! If you're visiting Busan, you really have to stop by hahaha.

When I lifted the egg slightly off, what is this topping...? Apparently Seomyeon Milmyeon uses beef brisket, trimmed fresh every day. Hand-torn, carefully piled-on beef brisket topping ㅠㅠㅠ this was the real highlight!!!

Honestly, I love milmyeon but often skip that thick slab of meat on top,,,,, hahaha but Seomyeon Milmyeon's meat topping was so tender and already torn apart that it was super easy to eat ♥️👍🏻

How big is the bibim milmyeon portion?

Seomyeon Milmyeon's bibim milmyeon gets tossed with a spicy red sauce, and the portion was genuinely generous. The bibim milmyeon visual is no joke, right? Haha

I'm normally a die-hard water milmyeon person, but why is the bibim so good.... I ended up stealing all of my husband's hahaha. Honestly both the water and the bibim were amazing ㅠㅠ both were incredible.....

How many dumplings come in one order?

Seomyeon Milmyeon dumplings come 8 to a plate. While I was busy losing my mind over the milmyeon, the dumplings arrived too haha. Perfectly chewy and plump dumplings!!!! I was surprised by both the quantity of 8 and how good they looked!!!!

The chewy dumpling wrapper was packed full of meat!!! The dumplings were genuinely delicious too ㅠㅠ

Apparently every dish at Seomyeon Milmyeon starts cooking the moment it's ordered, aiming to get it on the table within 5 minutes haha. You can really feel that fresh ingredients are sourced and prepared daily — from the broth to the noodles to the toppings, nothing felt like it missed the mark!!!!!

Is Seomyeon Milmyeon worth the early start? Final verdict

I'm just so happy there's such a delicious milmyeon restaurant in Seomyeon ㅠㅠ hahaha. It's gotten quite cool lately haha. Before it gets even cooler (?), I need to come back for milmyeon one more time, hehe.
