Songnim Bok Jangeo Freshwater Eel All-You-Can-Eat Ansan City Hall Direct Store, a great eel spot near Ansan City Hall, is easy to reach by public transit and offers parking support, so I think it would be nice for group visits such as family meals or company dinners too~

Around 75 people can visit at once! Private-event inquiries are welcome.

And perhaps because it is a directly operated store, it is kept so clean and neat that it is just right for bringing your parents, haha.

They even have baby chairs.

All-you-can-eat eel price and dining time

The all-you-can-eat eel price is a reasonable ₩29,900 per person, which is why lots of younger people visit too~~

Even considering the ₩3,000 table-setting fee, once you see the fresh side dishes, eel, and pork belly for yourself, “cheap” is the first thought that comes to mind. I agree: the price is a steal.

Eel and side-dish table setting

I am usually absolutely stuffed after eating for about an hour, to the point where I will not be thinking about eel for a while... hahaha. So in my opinion, two hours is not a short amount of time.

The basic table setting and self-service bar

This is the basic table setting! There are peppers, garlic, lettuce, salt, ssamjang (savory soybean dipping paste), and more; if you want anything else, you can use the self-service bar, haha. Since plenty of people do not eat vegetables, I think being able to take only what you want yourself is a good approach!

Self-service bar with vegetables and sauces

What surprised me most was that this many different items were kept completely clean and fresh.... Nothing looked even slightly wilted or dirty(?)—it all stays so hygienic.

At Songnim Bok Jangeo Freshwater Eel All-You-Can-Eat Ansan City Hall Direct Store, they say they prepare live eel from eel farms and direct-sale markets every morning~ It feels as though the side dishes are prepared with that same care!

Grilling eel and pork belly over charcoal

The charcoal heat is strong, so grill the pork belly and pork neck around the edges~~~

Some of you may be wondering why there is meat at an eel restaurant, but this is seriously delicious too... I kept going back to the self-service bar for more without even realizing it.... hahaha. So good..

Instructions for the best way to eat it are posted all around the walls at Songnim Bok Jangeo, so grilling it deliciously is not difficult, hehe.

The agonizing wait....

It may look as though it is getting nicely charred, but the crisp outside and tender, juicy inside are no jokeㅠㅠ It immediately makes you understand why so many people come here.

Eel with ginger, wraps, and side dishes

It is delicious simply with ginger, and delicious wrapped in lettuce too. There are lots of side dishes that go well with it, including baek kimchi (mild white kimchi), pa kimchi (green-onion kimchi), and pickled onions, so you can eat a whole lot without getting tired of it.... hahahaha

A little brag(?): they shared some lettuce they had grown in their own garden, and it was nutty and delicious even dipped in ssamjang on its own. The best!

So, for all those reasons.... I am going to make the personal declaration that Songnim Bok Freshwater Eel means the Ansan City Hall Direct Store, haha. It was an all-you-can-eat eel restaurant that can handle every kind of meetup or gathering: family meals, dates, group company dinners, and more!
