Company dinner near Sunae Station: black pork, kimchi jjigae finale

I've lived in Bundang for, oh, about 10 years now,,, and this is my go-to spot yet again + my go-back spot yet again — Jeju Monteurak!

The meat here is genuinely delicious, and they grill everything for you one by one! The dessert menu items are also so good that I've brought my parents here more than once. This time I got a good opportunity to visit, so here I am haha...!

There are plenty of meat restaurants along Sunae Station's Rodeo street too, but if I'm eating pork, I always go to Monteurak! Seriously,,, I can vouch for this as a Sunae Station must-visit BBQ restaurant.

If you like lots of side dishes to go with your grilled meat, or love grilled fernbrake, this is the one I really recommend around Sunae.

How far is it from Sunae Station?

It's about a 5, maybe 7 minute walk from Sunae Station! Not exactly on Rodeo street, but behind those buildings, sort of.

The dol hareubang (stone grandfather statue) out front is fully on trend... blond and long nails and everything... didn't know hareubangs had this kind of taste haha.

Looks like they added Jeju-specialty side menu items recently!! Jeju pork noodle soup / Jeju green tangerine perilla oil cold noodles / tot naengmyeon. I'm planning to try the tot naengmyeon next time — couldn't fit it in this time, I was too full ㅠ^ㅠ

Inside the restaurant and seating for company dinners

The place can seat up to 100 people! If your office is near Sunae Station, this would be a great spot for a company dinner. And corkage is free, so,, honestly,,, I love this place so much,,, haha,,,

What should you order?

It's not an exaggeration to say I've tried every item on this menu lol. My recommendation: black pork samgyeopsal (pork belly) / black pork moksal (pork neck)!

For the meal course, I recommend kimchi jjigae or naengmyeon! I tried the naengmyeon before it was renewed into tot naengmyeon, and it was genuinely delicious back then, so I'm guessing it still is now!! Kimchi jjigae is my dad's favorite menu item here lol, so recommended!

How does the side dish spread look?

I've mentioned this in an old post before too! I love places that lay out lots of side dishes for grilling and eating... this place passes! Myeongi namul (mountain leek), pajeori (scallion salad), garlic scape pickles, baek kimchi, shrimp-garlic sauce, and more! So good,,,ㅠㅠㅠ Grilling the asparagus and king oyster mushrooms plain was also so satisfying...

And also..? I realized I need to come here on a Friday. Drinks are ₩500? Insane. I'm coming back on a Friday. Just you wait.

Black pork samgyeopsal and moksal, grilled tableside by staff

We ordered black pork samgyeopsal and black pork moksal and ate every bit of it! I have no talent for grilling meat myself, so I handed full authority over to the staff member.

The color is insane, right..? ..ㅠㅠㅠ They really grill it to the most delicious state possible, and the meat itself is so good! My friend and I kept saying
