In short
Yun Sikdang is a set-meal Korean restaurant on Bukmasan Furniture Street in Masanhappo-gu, Changwon, with a single menu: grilled bulgogi set meal. It was my mom's birthday so I went down to my hometown, but the actual birthday girl went off to a wedding haha... so instead my sister, my dad and I went to Yun Sikdang (윤식당), a Korean set-meal restaurant in Masan.

We drove past the restaurant to park and there was already a big waiting crowd out front, so I hopped out by myself and ran over.

How does the waiting work? Sign the waitlist
You write your name and party size on the waitlist by the entrance inside, then wait. There's no field for a phone number, so if you're not nearby when your turn comes up, you get skipped — make sure to stay close! There are 8 waiting seats inside and 4 outside, so you can sit while you wait.

The inside is actually pretty spacious. We got there around 12:25, and since it opens at 11:30, tables were turning over well — we were 6th in line but got in within 15 minutes. Most of the other guests were families too — probably because the food comes out so neat and tidy, I'd definitely recommend this place for bringing your parents ୨୧

Single menu: grilled bulgogi set meal
Yun Sikdang, a set-meal restaurant worth the trip in Masan, has only one menu ⊹ grilled bulgogi set meal. You know how when a place has just one menu, it's almost always the real deal? Also, once you sit down you can't switch seats.

Aside from the basic side dishes, cooking starts the moment you order, so it takes a little while for the food to come out. But it'll be worth the wait, so we happily waited.

The spoons and chopsticks come individually wrapped, which is nice and hygienic!

About 20 minutes after ordering, the food was ready. They set everything down at once — side dishes, rice, and the main — all together, which is great for a blogger like me.

Grilled fish, doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew), kimchi pancake, and grilled bulgogi — a super, super generous table ♡゙

Grilled fish and kimchi pancake — two grilled fish came out, one was mackerel and I think one was yellow croaker? Not totally sure what the one on top was...

There was even crab in the doenjang jjigae, ㅠㅠㅠ plus tons of tofu and clams.

3 adults + a 4-year-old, ordered as a set for 3
For the main dish — grilled bulgogi — at Yun Sikdang, a set-meal restaurant worth the trip in Masan: we came as 3 adults and one 4-year-old, 4 people total, and ordered set meals for 3 people. All of this was 3 servings! Note that from elementary-school age up, everyone needs their own order ✨

They gave us individual bowls for the doenjang jjigae too, so we each scooped our own portion. The ingredients were really hearty and generous, and the broth was refreshing and savory — just everything ∿
The grilled bulgogi had a subtle charcoal aroma, and the thinly sliced meat had just the right amount of fat rendered off, so it was moist and not chewy at all. The sauce was a nicely balanced sweet-and-salty, and it paired perfectly with rice ◡̈

Marinated abalone and seasoned crab
One marinated abalone per person!
Maybe it's just me, but it kind of oddly looked like chocolate abalone, haha. The marinated abalone was a deep chocolate-brown color but wasn't salty at all. Not chewy either — nice and springy 𓈒𓏸
The seasoned crab, which felt like a main-course-level basic side dish, had a pretty intense sauce that wasn't really my style, but my dad ate it up happily. Note that the seasoned crab and marinated abalone aren't refillable — you have to pay extra for more.

Grilled fish that even my fish-hating niece ate
The grilled fish was crispy outside but moist and tender inside — so good ㅠㅠㅠ My niece usually doesn't eat fish at all, but when I hid it in her rice, she actually ate it here. But once I told her it was fish, she stopped eating it after that... ㅋㅋ (she got food poisoning from fish once, so she avoids it now). I mean, you liked it when you didn't know what it was, why now, princess.

You can't have grilled bulgogi without wrapping leaves, right? They come with ssam (lettuce and perilla leaves) too, so we neatly wrapped the grilled bulgogi with some scallion strips on top. Once you finish it all, the portion is really, really huge... we barely managed to finish it all ourselves.

Restroom and remembering your parking coupon
The restroom is inside toward the back, split into men's and women's, and it's very clean~

Since the timing was awkward for us, we parked at the Bukmasan Furniture Street public parking lot, and when we mentioned it at checkout, they gave us a parking coupon! Make sure to ask for your parking coupon too~~
If you're looking for a tidy set-meal restaurant in Masan with parking that's great for bringing your parents, I recommend Yun Sikdang, a set-meal restaurant worth the trip in Masan •̀ ᴗ -
