A close friend from high school was about to get married, and I wanted to celebrate with a really good meal. 💖

Since my friends were coming up from out of town, I wanted to take them somewhere with good reviews, and that's how I ended up at Andover in Baekhyeon-dong, Pangyo. 💖
My friends tried the food and loved it, which made me happy too. The owner was kind and the food was satisfying, so here's my review of Andover.
Andover in Baekhyeon-dong, Pangyo: exterior and terrace

Andover, located on the café street in Baekhyeon-dong, Pangyo, had a sleek atmosphere from the outside.
It was decorated cleanly in black and white overall, with stone accents that gave it a trendy, sophisticated feel. 🖤🤍

There were also outdoor terrace seats, and I noticed a sign saying dogs were welcome there — great for anyone wanting to visit with their pet.
Inside Andover on a weekend evening: atmosphere and seating

We visited on a weekend evening, and the inside was much bigger than I expected, with high ceilings that gave it an open, airy feel.
The large windows and high ceilings looked like they'd let in a lot of natural light during the day for a different vibe altogether, but the evening we visited, the soft lighting made it feel cozier and more atmospheric.
The interior was decorated mainly with wood tables and black tones, giving it a sleek, exotic feel. They said the space was designed around memories of Andover, Massachusetts, and looking around, it really did feel like stepping into a restaurant abroad.
The space itself is spacious and the atmosphere is great, making it a comfortable place to eat leisurely with friends — it would also suit a date or a weekend family meal.

They also had baby chairs available, so families with young kids could dine comfortably too. 👍
Knowing that this space is run by a family made the warm atmosphere feel even more genuine.

On one side of the restaurant, they sell Andover's own sauces and hams and other products, so you can enjoy the flavors easily at home too.
It was also fun browsing the cute goods displayed alongside them.
How ordering works at Andover, plus the self-service corner

You could order easily by scanning the QR code on the table.
What's at the self-service corner

The table was set neatly, and there was a separate self-service corner with small plates, water, cups, cutlery, and wet wipes all lined up neatly, so you could easily grab whatever you needed.
Three Andover dishes we shared for the wedding celebration
- Coca-Cola Zero, Coca-Cola, Sprite
- Mushroom cream risotto
- Fresh basil cold pasta
- Andover lasagna

Drinks: Coca-Cola Zero, Coca-Cola and Sprite

Even the drinks were served in pretty glasses, which made things feel even more special. Since I'm not much of a drinker, it was nice to still be able to raise a glass and enjoy the meal happily with my friends.
Mushroom cream risotto at Andover

The mushroom cream risotto wasn't too rich — the cream was just savory enough to enjoy without feeling heavy.
What stood out most was the mushroom. The first bite had such a chewy, plump texture that it almost felt like eating meat — I was genuinely surprised.
The creamy risotto paired well with the grilled mushrooms, and the mushroom's flavor and texture stayed strong all the way through — a dish I enjoyed to the last bite.
Fresh basil cold pasta at Andover

Honestly, this was the dish I was a little worried about ordering. I really like basil, but when the basil flavor or sauce balance isn't right, it can be pretty divisive.
Once I actually tried it, my worries turned out to be unfounded — the fragrant basil, soft cheese, and bright lemon combined really well. Cold pasta felt a bit unfamiliar at first, but one bite in, it felt clean and refreshing, and I kept reaching for more.
My friends kept saying how good it was the whole time we ate it, which made it even more satisfying for me.
Andover lasagna

Lasagna is a must-order for Western-style menus, so I ordered it with high expectations.
There was plenty of meat packed between the layered noodles, giving it a satisfying bite, and the combination of noodles, cheese, and sauce worked really well together.
Andover apparently prepares all its dishes and sauces with its own recipes, and the lasagna's sauce had a rich depth of flavor that made it even more delicious.
Overall, the flavor was rich but not heavy, so I kept going back for more, and my friends and I said how good it was more than once while eating it.
Was Andover worth it for a group celebration?
- ✔️ The spacious, sleek space made for a relaxed meal with friends, and it would also suit a date or weekend family outing.
- ✔️ Each dish — mushroom cream risotto, fresh basil cold pasta, and Andover lasagna — had its own distinct character, and my friends all enjoyed them.
- ✔️ Knowing it's a family-run place using their own recipes and sauces made the care put into the food even more apparent.
Andover was a Baekhyeon-dong, Pangyo restaurant where I got to enjoy distinctive Western dishes in a sleek space — the kind of place I'd love to come back to for another special occasion.
