Truffle BLT open sandwich at Que Sera, a Seokchon Lake brunch café

In short

Que Sera is a sourdough brunch café in Songpa, Seoul, an 8-minute walk from Samjeon Station on Line 9 in a residential alley near Seokchon Lake in Jamsil. At Que Sera we ordered the truffle BLT open sandwich plate and the farmer's omelette plate, and the generous truffle fries came with them; the terrace is dog-friendly and easy to linger on. With such a wide menu, Que Sera works for both a light brunch and a filling meal.

Where is Que Sera, and how far is it from Samjeon Station?

Entrance of Que Sera, a Jamsil brunch café tucked in a residential alley

Que Sera is a Jamsil brunch café where you can enjoy everything from sandwiches made with their own naturally leavened sourdough to omelettes and pasta — the bread is made from sourdough starter aged slowly at low temperature. There are also customizable menu items you can tailor to your taste, making it a good spot whether you want something light or a full, hearty meal! 👍🏻

Is Que Sera dog-friendly, and how is the terrace seating?

The high chairs lined up by the outdoor window looked perfect for sitting down with a cup of coffee for a bit. Que Sera is dog-friendly, so it seemed like a nice stop while out walking with your dog 🐶

Open kitchen and wooden shelves near the store entrance

Near the entrance there's an open kitchen, so you can watch the food being prepared. The kitchen itself had a cozy feel too, with wooden shelves and warm lighting〰️

Under the counter, wine bottles were displayed one by one between concrete blocks — a unique touch that was fun to look at 🍷

The interior overall, from the walls to the tables and chairs, was done in wood tones that gave it a warm feel,

and there's terrace seating on one side of the café too, which looked like a great spot to enjoy brunch in the outdoor air on a nice day!

The table area was softly lit, giving the whole space a cozy glow. What really caught my eye was the large round wall decoration and the lemon tree in front of it, which matched Que Sera's fresh, lively vibe so well. 🍋

How ordering works at Que Sera

How long does the food take?

Ordering and returning dishes after eating are both self-serve! There was also a note at the counter explaining that since one chef cooks each order in sequence, the food might take a bit of time to arrive.

The menu at Que Sera, a brunch spot near Seokchon Lake in Jamsil 👀 It ranged from various sandwich plates to omelettes, pasta, and garlic shrimp (gambas). You could add bacon, carrot rapée, avocado, and more to customize things to your taste, and there were desserts like egg tarts and ice cream too. Drinks were varied as well — coffee, ade, milk tea — plus highballs, beer, and wine to pair with your meal.

Next to the counter there was a self-serve corner where you could grab water, tissues, and various sauces as needed.

Truffle BLT open sandwich plate

What we ordered: the 'Truffle BLT open sandwich plate' 🥪 Bacon, vegetables, poached egg, and avocado piled generously on top of the bread, with a good amount of sauce added. There was even a pink flower garnish on top, making it look bright and cheerful. The salty bacon paired with the soft poached egg and avocado, and the sauce added a savory depth. It was fun cutting through the various ingredients together with the bread, and it came with a generous side of truffle fries, making it plenty filling as a full meal. 🌺

Farmer's omelette plate

Next up was the 'Farmer's omelette plate' 🍳 A golden-brown omelette served with bread, roasted vegetables, and fries. The soft, light omelette had sauce added so it wasn't bland, and pairing it with the mushrooms and other vegetables worked so well,, With so many different things on one plate, this is a menu worth considering if you like a brunch where you get to eat a bit of everything >.<

Just look at how hearty this looks..! 😋
