Apgujeong Rodeo restaurant for brie pastry pizza: People the Terrace

People the Terrace brings together a spacious interior decorated with plants and lighting, a great terrace atmosphere, and delicious food all in one place.

I went to People the Terrace with a friend for dinner in Apgujeong Rodeo. True to its name, the outdoor terrace is beautifully set up, and there's a lot to see inside too — I'd been looking forward to it even before visiting. If you're after a Cheongdam terrace restaurant where you can enjoy both the vibe and the food together, this one's worth checking out.

Following the alley, the huge white exterior catches your eye right away. Soft lighting ran along the walls, and the arched structure combined with the blue door gave off the vibe of a foreign mansion.

I arrived at the entrance and the exterior was already stunning. It's about 684m from Apgujeong Rodeo Station Exit 2, so it's good for exploring the neighborhood after eating too. The place is pretty large, so it was easy to spot even from a distance.

What is the outdoor terrace seating like?

At People the Terrace we sat outside on the terrace. The white tables and chairs, plus a small lamp on each table, made even late-night dining feel nice. Through the arches you could see the plants and lighting inside, so the outdoor and indoor spaces blended naturally.

The tables weren't cramped, and there were seats for larger groups too. It's a great spot for a meal with friends or a date on a terrace. Being able to eat leisurely in the night breeze was the biggest draw of this Cheongdam terrace restaurant.

What we ordered and the 104,000 won total

We scanned the QR code on the table to check the menu and ordered right away. That day my friend and I ordered pastry sweet brie cheese pizza, gochujang butter carbonara, and crème brûlée. We shared everything, and also got fresh pineapple juice and an iced vanilla latte. The total came to ₩104,000.

Inside People the Terrace: a fountain and a chandelier

While waiting for our food, I stopped by the restroom and took a look around inside — the space was much bigger than I expected. There were so many spots too nice to pass by that I took a ton of photos on the way.

At the center of the interior is a large fountain surrounded by tall trees and various plants. There's a bar tucked behind the fountain, giving the whole space a glamorous, exotic feel.

There were plenty of plush sofa seats and lounge-style tables too. On one side there's a large screen, and the walls are hung with various artworks, so there's a lot to look at.

There's also a space decked out with birthday balloons and a giant bear decoration, which looked great for anniversaries or parties. Among Apgujeong Rodeo restaurants that prioritize atmosphere, this Cheongdam restaurant stands out for having a genuinely special space.

Fresh pineapple juice and iced vanilla latte

After walking around inside, we came back to our terrace table to find our two drinks had arrived first. I got the iced vanilla latte and my friend had the fresh pineapple juice — photographed under the soft table lighting, the colors came out beautifully.

The pineapple juice had a deep yellow color, as if the fruit had been blended whole, topped with pineapple and herbs. It was cool, tangy, and sweet — great alongside the food, apparently. The iced vanilla latte had smooth coffee with a sweet vanilla aroma, easy to drink.

After a bit of waiting with our drinks, all the food arrived — pastry sweet brie cheese pizza, gochujang butter carbonara, and crème brûlée. Laid out together on the table it looked amazing, and we dug in with our friend.

Pastry sweet brie cheese pizza

The first dish that caught my eye was the pastry sweet brie cheese pizza. Instead of a regular pizza dough, it used a layered pastry dough with crispy edges. On top was a generous heap of brie cheese, which I love.

The sweet toppings and savory cheese came together for a proper sweet-and-salty combo. Cutting off a piece of brie with a fork and piling it onto the pizza brought out the soft, rich cheese flavor even more. If you like brie cheese, this is one to try for sure.

Gochujang butter carbonara

The gochujang butter carbonara had a generous, thick sauce. The creamy carbonara was given a gochujang (Korean red chili paste) kick, giving it a flavor different from a typical cream pasta.

There were big chunks of bacon too, good to scoop up with the noodles.

Alternating between the sweet, savory pizza and the pasta worked well together. My friend and I shared both dishes, and the portions were just right if you want to try a few different things.

The pick of the night: crème brûlée

The dish I enjoyed most that day was, without question, the crème brûlée. It came in a wide bowl, topped generously with vanilla ice cream and fresh fruit like kiwi, orange, and grapefruit — striking just from the visual.

Cracking the thin caramel layer with a spoon, I scooped up the soft cream, ice cream, and tangy fruit all together. The crunchy caramel against the moist cream had great texture, and the fruit kept the sweetness from feeling heavy.

It felt better than most desserts I've had — a clear one-pick of the day. If you like dessert, I'd recommend ordering the crème brûlée without hesitation.

What to order on the next visit

People the Terrace isn't just about the outdoor terrace — the interior is spacious too, with plenty of photo-worthy spots throughout. Visiting in the evening as the lights came on made the white exterior and terrace look even prettier.

The weather was nice that day, and with valet parking available there was no need to worry about parking either. Of the food, the sweet pastry pizza piled with brie cheese was a favorite, and the crème brûlée was memorable enough that I still think about it. Next time I come with friends for a group meal, I want to try the steak too.
