Hannam sandwich restaurant for egg potato baguettes: Dance Dance Dance
In short
Dance Dance Dance Hannam is a sandwich restaurant in Hannam-dong, Yongsan, Seoul, where you can choose freshly baked baguette or ciabatta. After weekend yoga, I took away an egg potato sandwich and a classic baguette sandwich; the egg mayo and strawberry jam pairing, plus the handmade ham and whole-grain mustard, stood out. A light but delicious post-workout meal worth returning for.

A light, fresh lunch after yoga
After finishing weekend morning yoga, I wanted a light, fresh lunch. Thinking of something delicious that would not weigh down my newly lightened body, I headed to Dance Dance Dance Hannam for a baguette sandwich.
It sits along one of Hannam-dong's characteristically quiet yet stylish routes, making it easy to stop by after a workout or pick up something during a gentle walk. Dance Dance Dance Hannam is greeted by a muscular cat(?) on its sign.

That fluffy-looking sandwich, generously piled with yellow egg mayo as if it might spill over, is quite a sight, right? I loved the combination of its cozy, mild softness with little pops of strawberry jam!

Outdoor tables and a takeout-focused shop
When I arrived, there were two tiny, charming outdoor tables by the entrance. You can sit in the softly sunlit passageway and enjoy a sandwich at leisure; just looking at it made my heart feel all soft and warm.
- Anyone looking for a Hannam sandwich spot with crisp yet moist baguette bread
- Anyone wanting a sandwich in Yongsan or Hannam-dong after a weekend outing or workout
- Anyone looking for a richly flavored Itaewon sandwich with traditional charcuterie ham

The interior is compact but thoughtfully arranged. A bar table along one side provides space for about four people to eat inside, though it is essentially run as a comfortable, quick takeout-focused shop.
To order at Dance Dance Dance Hannam, simply use the in-store kiosk. Right beside it is a drink-can storage area, so anyone ordering canned coffee or bottled water can just grab it themselves after paying.

Two sandwiches, both on baguette
I chose the baguette sandwich, one of the shop's signature items, and the egg potato sandwich.

For Hannam-dong sandwiches, you can choose between a crisp baguette and soft ciabatta according to your preference. I have recently been obsessed with baguette sandwiches that are crunchy outside and moist within(?), so I ordered both on baguette.

At Dance Dance Dance, they warm the bread in the oven as soon as an order comes in, then make the sandwich. I asked for takeout, and they packed everything neatly and beautifully in a paper box so the sandwiches would not get squashed. The moment I opened it, the nutty scent of bread and the abundant presentation caught my eye.

The strawberry jam kick in the egg potato sandwich
The Hannam-dong egg potato sandwich I tried first spread the cozy, mild softness distinctive to egg mayo through my mouth from the first bite. It made a wonderfully balanced contrast with the crisp texture of the freshly baked baguette.
The hidden kick in this sandwich is the sweet addition of strawberry jam. Egg mayo and potato can start to feel a little plain or heavy as you keep eating, but the jam's sweetness and tang pop through, adding freshness.

Classic baguette with handmade ham and whole-grain mustard
Next was Dance Dance Dance Hannam's most basic and representative menu item, the baguette sandwich: a classic combination of cheese, vegetables, and ham. You know how the simplest combinations can be the most formidable. Along with the buttery aroma overflowing from the freshly oven-baked bread, the savory, rich meat flavor of handmade ham from the premium charcuterie brand Charvetier came together cleanly in my mouth.

In particular, the pop of whole-grain mustard seeds in the sauce was such fun alongside bread that was crisp yet moist inside. True to a great Hannam sandwich spot, it had a depth that let the ingredients' natural flavors shine.

For anyone looking for a great Itaewon sandwich, or a light yet tasty sandwich near Hannam-dong, Dance Dance Dance Hannam delivers a definite pleasure beyond expectations. The signature nuttiness of freshly baked baguette and the neat harmony of its fillings really stood out, so I think I will naturally return after a workout or on a relaxed weekend outing.
