Matcha tofu cream cheese baguette shared with mom: Dance Dance Dance

In short

Dance Dance Dance Hannam is a baguette and ciabatta sandwich shop at the start of the hill on Hannam Five-Way Street in Yongsan, Seoul. The writer took home a matcha tofu cream cheese baguette (₩9,400) and a baguette sandwich (₩8,900) to share with her mom — the matcha tasted like dipping a baguette into Haagen-Dazs green tea ice cream, while the plain sandwich was nutty and tangy with whole grain mustard. The baguette itself is so good, like a European health bread, that she wants to buy it again.

The weather's been so nice lately. Great for walking, great for exercising. I wanted something healthy but still tasty, so I stopped by Hannam-dong on my way home. I always have to transfer buses at the Soonchunhyang University Hospital stop on my way home, so I figured I'd grab takeout and eat it with my mom!

It's a sandwich shop on Hannam Five-Way Street, and from the reviews I saw, the baguette is supposed to be really good.

It's the first shop you hit as you start up the hill, so it's easy to find! So pretty, very Hannam-dong of it...

They sell Dance Dance Dance branded goods too. Hats, mugs, t-shirts — you can order them along with your food at the kiosk.

They also sell cold brew in cans, and the cans were so pretty.

The eat-in space is just a 4-seat bar table, so most people seem to get takeout. Still, I saw some people eating alone or with friends.

Here's the menu! They make sandwiches to order right from the displayed baguettes and ciabatta.

There was a seasonal fig baguette on the menu too. Sandwich menus can be swapped to ciabatta bread for free! There was something called a tofu cream cheese matcha baguette — the flavor was so hard to imagine that I just had to order it.

Isn't the packaging so pretty? I got so excited about eating with my mom that I hurried home.

Baguette sandwich (₩8,900) — swapped to ciabatta

They said the ham in the sandwich is Charcuterie handmade ham, so I wanted something hearty and classic too — swapped to ciabatta! It's a familiar flavor, but genuinely delicious.

The ciabatta was chewy and nutty, and the whole grain mustard was spread on sweetly, so it was nutty yet tangy! Really filling! My mom and I both prefer ciabatta or baguette sandwiches over plain sliced bread sandwiches haha (honestly when I first opened it I thought the portion looked a bit small, but after finishing it I was full).

Matcha tofu cream cheese baguette

Matcha tofu cream cheese baguette (₩9,400)

Beyond expectations!!! It does feel like a dessert item. If I had to describe it, it's like that thick, gooey matcha ice cream — kind of like dipping a baguette into Haagen-Dazs green tea flavor??

But the baguette itself is so good that I'd want to buy it separately — not salty or sweet, just a proper European baguette feel!! So delicious. I think I'll buy this again. (Though this menu item does feel more like a dessert.)

Overall verdict

Overall: I want to eat this again!! I introduced Basaen25 in Jamsil before — that place had fresh vegetables but the baguette crumbled a lot,

Dance Dance Dance is a fancier flavor. Tastes like European health bread!!!!

I imagine their jambon-beurre would be amazing too. There's a Seoul Station location too, so I want to try that one as well. My mom and I were both completely satisfied!!
