Siheung Baegot restaurant with baby chairs: Jeongssi Hambak
In short
Jeongssi Hambak Baegot Branch is a handmade hamburg steak and pasta restaurant on the 2nd floor of the Orange Building at Avenue France in Baegot new town, Siheung, Gyeonggi. The writer visited at 4pm with a 50-day-old baby and ordered the mozzarella cheese hambak (hamburg steak, 14,500 won) and the meat tomato pasta (11,500 won), with a baby chair and wide gaps between tables. If you are eating out with a baby, Jeongssi Hambak is comfortable as long as you avoid the lunch rush.

Eating out in Baegot with a 50-day-old baby: why Jeongssi Hambak
About 50 days after giving birth, my husband and I started venturing out again. We'd agreed to make memories together on weekends when we could, and on weekday afternoons, once it helped with the baby's eat-play-sleep routine, we'd take walks together as a family of three on breezy evenings after sunset.

On one such walk near Hanul Park in Siheung's Baegot new town, we stopped by Jeongssi Hambak, our own long-time favorite Baegot restaurant, for the first time in a while.
Jeongssi Hambak Baegot Branch hours and parking
Jeongssi Hambak Baegot Branch is open daily from 11am to 9pm, with last order at 8:30pm and no break time. It's on the 2nd floor of the Orange Building, parking is free, and seats are usually plentiful.
A Siheung Baegot restaurant with tables for up to 12
Jeongssi Hambak is a chain, but even my husband and I, who usually avoid chains, were won over after our first taste — we've since gone back many times paying out of our own pocket.

Beyond the clean wood interior, the Baegot branch has an especially cozy, warmly gruff kind of friendliness. (The male owner is kind, and has good style too, haha.)

The interior has a European feel that never really goes out of style, so it always looks clean whenever you visit. Something I never noticed before having a baby — while searching for baby-friendly restaurants, I came back after a while and even the floor cracks were spotless.

The tables are always wiped down well, and you can tell the staff cleans thoroughly.

Overall it's more spacious and pleasant than you'd expect. Tables normally seat 4 to 6, but the wall-side section where we sat could fit up to 12 if pushed together.

A sunny window seat with a view right over the center of Siheung's Baegot new town.

We visited at 4pm, a bit of an early dinner slot, so turnover was just a table or two, but the place is usually busy — on this visit too, we called ahead just to get a good seat. (Though reservations aren't strictly necessary, and there's no break time.)
Payment methods at Jeongssi Hambak

Of course they accept Siheung's local currency Shiru. What I liked was that Dongne Seonmul now works too. And these days I use Toss Pay (pay by face recognition, plus extra discounts) — that works here too, haha. So convenient, I'd definitely recommend it.
The free tteokbokki and rice refills at Jeongssi Hambak
This is something I always love about this place — plates and water cups that bring back nostalgic school-day memories.

And then there's the tteokbokki (stir-fried rice cakes). (It's really good — mild, chewy wheat rice cakes that seem slightly puffed but not quite.) One free refill included. I feel like we always devour this appetizer in seconds.

Since I'm writing this as a baby-friendly Siheung Baegot restaurant post, I should mention: baby chairs are well stocked here.

What to order at Jeongssi Hambak in Baegot

Mozzarella cheese hambak, 14,500 won
Handmade hamburg steak (hambak) isn't easy to find in Siheung, so we always order it here. Having tasted it, for a couple in our late 30s who still enjoy a bit of indulgent flavor, the mozza cheese hambak (₩14,500) is our absolute favorite.

Doesn't it look delicious just from the visuals? The sauce plating is picture-perfect too — rice, a thick handmade hamburg steak piled generously with mozzarella cheese, and even egg on top! A serious hamburg steak restaurant in Baegot with generous portions. It's mouthwatering just to look at.

Slice it down the middle with a fork and the juicy handmade hamburg steak cuts softly, while the mozza cheese stretches into long strands, haha.

Dip it generously in the sauce, and the day's stress just melts away in your mouth!

The stretchy cheese never seems to run out no matter how much you eat. Rice refills are available too, so even die-hard Korean-food fans have no reason to skip this Baegot favorite.
Rosé pasta, 11,500 won
Next up, the pasta — can't skip that. We always order either cream pasta or rosé pasta, and personally I think the rosé pasta (₩11,500) is actually tastier than the visually flashier snow cheese meatball pasta.

The noodle cooking, sauce, and base all come together nicely overall, but maybe because I'm a woman, haha, the rosé pasta just hits differently for me. It's just the right amount of thick and creamy, with plump shrimp and plenty of sauce — right up my alley! But for cheese lovers, the snow cheese meatball pasta at ₩15,000 is also worth recommending, with a generous portion and great quality.
Meat tomato pasta, 11,500 won
This visit, I tried the meat tomato pasta (₩11,500) for the first time.

It's loaded with sweet and tangy tomato and beef, and with the cheese on top and a bit more spice, it hits the spot if you're craving something indulgent! It felt like a middle ground between a plain, overly light original tomato pasta and a heartier ragù-style tomato pasta — I really enjoyed it, haha.
Don't forget the Naver receipt review event
Join the Naver receipt review event and you can get a free drink — an ade (lots of flavors: cherry, grapefruit, green grape, etc.) or another beverage. Definitely worth remembering!

It's a rare handmade hamburg steak spot in Siheung Baegot with generous portions, and one of the very few chain restaurants I, a die-hard Korean-food person, actually keep coming back to. They also sell pork cutlet, so I plan to come back for that next — decent pork cutlet places are surprisingly hard to find around Siheung Jeongwang-dong and Geobukseom (I'm honestly a bit tired of katsu-style places).
Who should visit Jeongssi Hambak Baegot Branch
- Fans of Korean food who still want a hearty rice-and-hamburg-steak Western-style meal
- Anyone looking for a comfortable, no-fuss Baegot restaurant that's easy to visit with a baby
- Anyone wanting reasonably priced pasta and pork cutlet in one place
- Friends or couples looking for a comfortable Baegot spot for lunch or dinner dates
- Groups looking for a spacious Western-style restaurant that won't feel cramped

If you have a baby like us, I'd genuinely recommend avoiding lunch hour — you'll enjoy a much more relaxed meal without the crowds. That's a wrap :)
