Mapo pizza restaurant with pepperoni and wings: Sunny's Pizza Market
In short
Sunny's Pizza Market is a pizza restaurant on the second floor in Mapo, Seoul. We ordered a regular half-and-half pepperoni and Margherita pizza with wingettes, and it was filling even for two people. Verdict: a satisfying pick for a hearty pizza date in Yeonnam-dong.

We were planning to go see fireworks after dinner that day, so we decided to fill up properly in Yeonnam-dong before heading out! Haha. We happened to be craving pizza, looked around, and picked Sunny's Pizza Market!

Sunny's Pizza Market is a pizza restaurant in Yeonnam-dong, located on the second floor of the building. I remember the view while we ate being quite nice 😃

An interior overlooking Yeonnam-dong's lanes at sunset
This is what the interior looks like! It was neat, with an atmosphere that suited a pizza place. Since it is on the second floor and we went around sunset, we could see the lanes of Yeonnam-dong.

A regular half-and-half and wingettes—enough for two?
We ordered the regular half-and-half size. At first, since we tend to eat a lot, we wondered whether we should get a large. In the end, we got the regular half-and-half and wingettes, and if we'd ordered a large, it could have been a disaster.. haha. You can order half-and-half, so it seemed great when each person wants something different or when you want to try several flavors!

A self-service bar with pickles and dipping sauce
There is a self-service bar off to one side, with cute pizza books, pickles, and sauces. The dipping sauce is generously set out too, rather than something you have to order!

Sunny's Pizza Market had such a nice view!

We brought back pickles and dipping sauce, plus a few packets of hot sauce.
Half pepperoni and Margherita pizza

We chose pepperoni, which you could call a pizza basic. Because the topping itself is salty, it goes so well with the cheese. It is a familiar flavor that keeps you reaching for another bite! Pepperoni is what I always choose when I can't quite decide among all the pizzas.. haha.

It was loaded with cheese like this too! Maybe because Sunny's Pizza Market pizzas are packed with toppings, even the smaller size felt plump(?), like there was a whole lot of sauce and cheese inside.
Since the dipping sauce was at the self-service bar, I couldn't restrain myself and dunked it in loads of it.. calories, haha. The pizza dough was chewy and so delicious too. We had cheese crust, and its nostalgic flavor made it even, even better.

A filling meal made even heartier with savory wingettes
The wingettes came out too, and once they arrived, I thought, oh—did we order a bit much for two people..? Haha. Anyway, it was a lot of food. The two tables on either side of us were also each having a regular pizza between two people!!

Anyway, the pizza was sooo good,, I usually eat about three slices of pizza (?) but I ate all four slices.. hahaha.

The wingettes were nicely seasoned, savory, and fresh too. I do not usually order pizza much, but for some reason I was especially craving it that day. Since it had been a while, I hoped it would be a good pizza place—and no wonder it is a Blue Ribbon pizza restaurant!
Sunny's Pizza Market really has that handmade-pizza-place feel. The dough was delicious, the ingredients were plentiful, and it was a satisfying pizza restaurant!
We ate pizza until we were totally full, then went to Yongsan afterward and properly watched the Yeouido fireworks too. We stayed full until late at night.. haha. If you are looking for pizza while on a Hongdae or Yeonnam-dong date, I recommend it!
