Jeju airport café gift-box levain cookies before a flight: Gluttony

In short

Gluttony Coffee is a dessert café near Jeju Airport on Gunam-ro 2-gil in Jeju City. Waiting for a flight on the last day of a trip, the writer tried the Gluttony latte, financiers, and levain cookies, loving the crisp-outside-moist-inside financiers and thick white macadamia levain cookie so much that leftover cookies given to parents got such a good reaction they tried to order more on Coupang. A confident recommendation for anyone looking for gift-worthy desserts.

Wrapping up a trip to Jeju before heading to the airport, I stopped at one last place — Gluttony Coffee, a café well known for being near Jeju Airport. There's really no better spot to relax with a cup of coffee and dessert while waiting for your flight. Today I want to write in detail about my experience there.

Location and parking at this café near Jeju Airport

On the last day of the trip, with an awkward amount of time left before my flight, I searched for cafés near the airport and came across Gluttony. It wasn't far from the airport, so it was easy to get to, and best of all, I didn't have to worry about parking.

Public parking lot across from the café

There's a public parking lot right across from the store, and it was about ₩1,500 for an hour — totally reasonable — with plenty of open spaces, so driving there was no hassle at all. On the last day of the trip, with lots of luggage and a rushed feeling, having zero parking stress alone made me glad I came.

Floor-to-ceiling windows and a trendy café interior

The moment I walked in, I got a distinctly trendy impression. The interior has floor-to-ceiling windows, so natural light pours in, and it's fun just sitting there watching the outside.

Sitting near the window at the tail end of the trip, sipping coffee and looking outside, gave me an oddly sentimental feeling like I was wrapping up the whole journey. One unusual detail was that the restroom was placed behind the glass — a layout different from the usual café interior, which felt refreshingly unique.

The owner and staff were also kind and welcoming, which let me end my last itinerary on a good note.

Six financier flavors, a noticeably different taste

Plain, sweet potato, matcha, lemon, chocolate, salty caramel — such a wide variety it was genuinely fun to pick and choose. Honestly, I don't eat financiers that often, so the ones I'd had before just seemed decently tasty, nothing more.

But Gluttony Coffee's financiers were clearly different, and I felt it from the first bite. The outside was crisp while the inside stayed moist, and each flavor had a distinct aroma and taste, making it fun to compare them one by one. The sweet potato financier had a gentle sweetness I loved, and the matcha had a strong aroma that paired really well with coffee.

What does the signature Gluttony latte taste like?

The café had a wide variety of drinks and desserts, and among them I tried the Gluttony latte, which I heard uses aged milk for a rich flavor and is popular with people who love lattes.

It was smooth yet rich, so it paired beautifully with the espresso. The milk didn't feel heavy, but the nutty flavor was clearly present, making it the perfect coffee to have alongside a sweet financier or levain cookie.

I never expected a cup of coffee at the very end of a trip to be this satisfying.

Levain cookies: the fun of picking your favorite flavor

The levain cookies at Gluttony Coffee, this café near Jeju Airport, left just as strong an impression as the financiers. Walnut dark chocolate, white macadamia, hazelnut Nutella, matcha macadamia, hazelnut dark chocolate, cream cheese red velvet — with so many options, it was easy to pick according to taste.

They were thick, with a fudgy inside and slightly crisp outside — filling enough that just one felt satisfying. The white macadamia in particular had a clean, mellow flavor that was perfect with coffee — an absolutely perfect match for my taste, haha.

Each flavor had such a distinct character that it was also fun buying several and sharing small pieces of each.

My parents fell for the cookies too — why they couldn't find them on Coupang

About four cookies were left over, so I gave them to my parents, and the response was fantastic!! They liked them so much they tried searching Coupang to order more. Unfortunately, they couldn't find a sales page, so they weren't able to order.

In the end, my sister-in-law, who's traveling to Jeju next week, told me to be sure to bring back duty-free cigarettes and Gluttony's levain cookies (the ones in the red box). That's how firmly this flavor won over not just my taste but my parents' too!! The fact that it's not something you can easily get online only makes Gluttony Coffee feel more special.

Why it's known as a Blue Ribbon café

Before visiting, I searched and found it listed as a Blue Ribbon café, which I was half-skeptical about, but after going in person, I could clearly understand why it earned that rating. Dessert quality, coffee taste, atmosphere, and service — nothing fell short, and everything was consistently satisfying. It was almost surprising that a café of this quality exists in such an accessible spot near the airport.

Who would I recommend this to

If I come back to Jeju, I'll definitely visit again without question. This time, since it was summer, I couldn't take much home because of the heat, but once the weather cools down, I'd love to pack up a couple of boxes to bring back. If this café were near my house, I'd definitely become a regular — but the fact that I can only enjoy it when traveling to Jeju is, in a way, its own kind of disappointment. Which probably just means this place has something truly special.

Gluttony Coffee, the last stop of the trip

As a last stop on a Jeju trip while waiting for your flight, I don't think there's a better place than Gluttony Coffee. Rather than sitting around bored until takeoff, I'd recommend wrapping up your trip here with a levain cookie or financier alongside a cup of coffee.
