Jamsil baguette sandwich shop with chamomile tea set: Town Sandwich
In short
Town Sandwich Jamsil Branch is a sandwich restaurant near Jamsil Station in Songpa, Seoul, that uses a baguette and a special sauce developed in-house. The writer ordered the Town Sandwich and the Cajun Chicken Curry Sandwich as drink sets and swapped the drinks for chamomile tea, and the baguette warmed right after ordering — crisp outside, soft inside — was the most memorable part. With bar-style seats for solo diners, Town Sandwich Jamsil Branch also works well for eating alone in Jamsil.

Today I'm writing about my visit to Town Sandwich Jamsil Branch, a great spot for brunch or a simple meal. I love baguette sandwiches, so I went in with high hopes — and it exceeded them.

Inside Town Sandwich Jamsil Branch: roomier than expected
Town Sandwich Jamsil Branch is near Jamsil Station. Honestly, before I got there I assumed it would be a small takeout- or delivery-focused shop. But once I actually saw it, the space was much bigger than I thought, and the interior was decorated in a cute, cozy way — I was surprised from the first impression. It was raining the day I visited, but on a nice day the outdoor terrace would be lovely, and there's a menu banner and kiosk outside too, which was a nice touch.

Seating at Town Sandwich, from solo bar seats to tables for four
Inside, the atmosphere was cozy and the layout was efficient. There are window two-tops, and the center two-tops can be pushed together for larger groups, plus a bar-style solo seat tucked into one side of the store, which I really liked. The seating variety stood out! I especially thought it would be perfect for office workers nearby who want to come in alone and eat comfortably.

What we ordered: Town Sandwich and Cajun Chicken Curry Sandwich
Town Sandwich Jamsil Branch advertises that it uses an in-house developed baguette and special sauce, which only raised my expectations for the flavor. I ordered the store's recommended signature menu items, the Town Sandwich and the Cajun Chicken Curry Sandwich, together. The summer set only allows ade as the drink, so I ordered the drink set and switched it to chamomile tea!

What is the baguette like when it's warmed to order?
As soon as the order went in, Town Sandwich Jamsil Branch warmed the bread right away and made the sandwiches fresh to order. Maybe because of that, the first bite I took the moment it arrived had genuinely the best bread texture I've had.
The baguette was crisp on the outside and, instead of being chewy, soft on the inside — I kept gasping the whole time I was eating the sandwich. The bread itself was so good that by the end I wanted to just buy the baguette alone, not even as a sandwich, haha. If you're looking for a top-tier baguette restaurant in Jamsil, you absolutely need to remember this place.

Town Sandwich vs Cajun Chicken Curry: how they taste
Left is the Town, right is the Cajun. The signature Town Sandwich was clean and simple just to look at. The special sauce inside didn't look like anything special on its own, but once combined with the sandwich ingredients, the pairing worked really well! The ham inside wasn't salty at all and had a light, mild flavor, and the lettuce was generously packed in, making the whole thing taste fresh and light — really delicious.
Honestly, when ordering, I picked the Cajun Chicken Curry Sandwich instead of the jambon (ham) sandwich because I figured two ham-based sandwiches would taste too similar. But the harmony between the ham in the basic Town Sandwich and the Cajun option was so great that I'm now convinced I won't go wrong ordering the jambon sandwich next time I come back, haha.

Sriracha sauce and choosing chamomile tea with the set
I also spotted spicy sriracha sauce kept along with tissues on one side of the store. I usually like spicy food, which is actually why I chose the Cajun Chicken Curry Sandwich in the first place, so I was glad to see the sriracha, haha. But the seasoning and flavor of the sandwich itself were already so perfectly balanced that I didn't even need to add extra sriracha to enjoy it fully!
For the drink, I wanted something clean without sweetness, so I chose chamomile tea from the set drink options. I liked that there was a good selection of tea options for people like me who want something clean and not too sweet.

Of course, the drink lineup ranged from various coffees to different ades, so there seemed to be plenty of options to choose from depending on taste. And judging by how proudly they featured it in a post, the coffee seems good too, haha.

There are also various events going on, so I'd recommend joining in if you visit~!!
Who should visit Town Sandwich Jamsil Branch?
Town Sandwich Jamsil Branch was bigger than I expected, with a layout that's comfortable for solo dining, and above all, the baguette's texture was overwhelming — it made for a very satisfying meal, haha. I'd recommend Town Sandwich Jamsil Branch to anyone who wants to try a proper Jamsil baguette sandwich with a crisp outside and moist inside, or anyone nearby looking for a clean, comfortable spot to eat alone!!
