Cajun chicken curry sandwich with egg mayo in Jamsil: Town Sandwich

Today I'm sharing my review of a really filling and delicious jambon-beurre / sandwich spot in Jamsil — "Town Sandwich Jamsil Branch"! It's about an 8-minute walk (420m) from Exit 9 of Jamsil Station.

Hours and parking info

They're open every day, no closed days, 09:00–20:00!

And parking info!! Town Sandwich Jamsil Branch does support parking!!_!! If you're visiting by car, you can use the shop-visitor parking lot in the underground parking of "Jamsil The Sharp Star Park" apartment complex! Weekdays get 1 hour / weekends get 2 hours, and if you visit after 5pm on weekdays you can get up to 2 hours!! I called ahead to ask and they answered very kindly. Much appreciated !_!

(But I visited on a weekend and they only registered one hour for me... so I paid an extra ₩1,000 fee... ... Make sure to check the time carefully!! I went over one hour by just a tiny bit)

After parking, I followed the map to get there! I could see the Town Sandwich sign, and the entrance. There were tables and chairs out front too, which seems like a nice spot for lunch on a nice day.

Seating comfortable for solo dining

There's plenty of space to sit and eat like this, and as you can see in the photo on the right, it's a really convenient space for eating alone too.

Set discounts and the no-lose draw event

They're running a ₩1,000 discount when you order a sandwich plus a drink, so the price is pretty good, and there's also a no-lose draw event which was fun. When I bought my sandwich, I got a topping coupon where you could choose from ham, cheese, tomato, lettuce, etc. — makes me want to come back haha

The interior is decorated to match the shop's vibe really well haha. Let me show you the menu!! I took photos in order by kiosk category, without missing any!_!

It goes set menu / baguette sandwich / coffee in that order. The set menu is nice because it comes with a discount. Enjoy a drink or soup alongside your sandwich!_!

What I ordered

They also have desserts and soup, so there are lots of things to pair with your sandwich haha. I ordered

The baguette and soup were processed as a set, so I got a ₩1,000 discount v_V!!!!!

Everything came out at once!! Bite-sized baguette pieces to eat with the soup came included, no need to order separately!

Egg mayo on a Cajun chicken curry sandwich — does it work?

You can clearly see the egg mayo added to the Cajun chicken curry sandwich, right? I wondered if the combination would work, but egg mayo is always delicious so I just added it.

They didn't skimp on toppings at all — packed full, so satisfying. The egg mayo was really tasty too, and surprisingly the two go well together. Egg mayo isn't a flavor that overpowers, so you can just add it without worry haha. The Cajun-seasoned chicken breast was tasty on its own too, and the combo with the curry was spicy and delicious.

Cream soup, mini baguette, choco pecan cookie

Here's the rest — the soup, mini baguette, and choco pecan cookie haha. Unlike the sandwich, the soup and the baguette for dipping had a firm, hard texture. I still enjoyed it, and I broke up the cookie to eat it. Big chunks of chocolate packed in made it sweet and delicious haha.

It was such a delicious meal. If you mention parking to the staff separately, they'll register it right away!!_!! It had been a while since I had such a tasty sandwich, and it was filling enough that I'd want to come back again.
