Whenever I'm in Haenggung-dong in Suwon, I always stop by Jeong Ji-young Coffee Roasters — the best coffee spot in Suwon, hands down! Came back again this time. This place has been a Haenggung-dong coffee landmark since the neighborhood started getting popular over a decade ago. Feels like the café's vibe has stayed the same for 10 years now (or maybe it just feels that way haha). Whenever I have plans in Haenggung-dong, this is always the café I end up at!

This Haenggung-dong café opens at 11am on weekdays and 10am on weekends. Closing time is the same either way — 10pm!

One of the signature drinks here is the coconut coffee, which has apparently sold 1.11 million cups. Turns out this place is famous for really nailing coconut coffee~~

Choosing your beans and the hand-drip menu

You can choose your coffee beans here — dark, medium, or decaf. I heard the decaf option is free for pregnant customers, just FYI haha.

This place is also famous for its hand-drip coffee, with Guatemala, Ethiopia, and Colombia beans available, just so you know haha.

Fig earl grey cake and the fruit sando

Jeong Ji-young Coffee Roasters Haenggung Main Branch isn't just great coffee — the cakes are amazing too! I usually love their strawberry cake, but this time, since it's fig season, they had a fig earl grey cake out haha. It was packed with figs and looked absolutely delicious!

They also have fruit sando (fruit sandwiches) — fig and kiwi-shine muscat versions. The baked snacks and cookies looked super tasty too!

Beans, cold brew and coffee goods on sale

True to its status as a Haenggung-dong coffee spot, they sell various beans by type and cold brew too! Jeong Ji-young Coffee Roasters Haenggung Main Branch is famous enough to have its own merch haha. I bought a mug as a housewarming gift and everyone loved it haha.

Is Jeong Ji-young Coffee Roasters a no-kids zone?

Just so you know, Jeong Ji-young Coffee Roasters Haenggung Main Branch is a no-kids zone — children under middle-school age can't enter. Probably because of all the stairs.

The 4th floor is a great space for reading or working. Quiet and nice haha.

And now, the moment we've all been waiting for: the rooftop. On a cool day like this, how good does drinking coffee on a rooftop sound!! Jeong Ji-young Coffee Roasters even sells Heineken, so you can drink whatever suits your taste!

How the dark-bean iced Americano and Lamington cake tasted

I picked an iced Americano with dark beans, plus the Lamington cake!!

Jeong Ji-young's Americano is seriously delicious. Even as an iced Americano, it had great aroma and was nutty and tasty. So good haha. Truly lives up to its reputation as a coffee spot. Nutty enough to enjoy the coffee on its own.

The Lamington cake comes in a takeout cup, and it was packaged really nicely too. Lamington cake isn't something you find often, so it was nice to get to eat it here — light, sweet, and really tasty. Genuinely delicious. They're great at the Lamington cake too!!

So satisfied with this Haenggung-dong coffee spot, Jeong Ji-young Coffee Roasters Haenggung Main Branch! My birthday's coming up in September, and now I'm craving their fig earl grey cake haha. Hehe.
