Ilsan pasta restaurant for family dinner with house wine: Millepollie

In short

Millepollie is an Italian restaurant focused on pasta and pizza on Bamlidan-gil in Ilsan, Goyang. After water play at One Mount, a family with kids ordered gorgonzola pizza, aglio e olio, pomodoro and genovese gnocchi at Millepollie, adding one glass of house wine. Millepollie was easy for a family meal with children, and its soft lighting made it a place worth returning to for a couples' dinner.

After the family played hard in the water at One Mount, everyone was starving. We usually go for meat, but that day we wanted to change things up with pasta and a glass of wine, so we headed to Millepollie, a well-known pasta spot in Ilsan.

The soft atmosphere made it great not just for a family meal but also as a date spot on Bamlidan-gil. You can enjoy Bamlidan-gil wine alongside pasta, and with its variety of Italian dishes, it's also a good fit for anyone looking for a pasta restaurant near Jeongbalsan.

Where is Millepollie, and is there parking?

Millepollie's exterior and parking space

Millepollie is on Bamlidan-gil in Ilsan, and after finishing up at One Mount it turned out to be closer than we expected. There's parking space in front of the restaurant and in a nearby open lot, so we parked easily too.

A large tree stands at the entrance of Millepollie.

You have to walk in between the trees to reach the restaurant, so it felt like passing through a small garden to find a hidden restaurant.

Millepollie's atmosphere and private room

Stepping inside, the soft ambient lighting combined with the light over each table really brought the atmosphere to life.

I thought it would be perfect for a blind date or a dinner just for two — a real Bamlidan-gil date spot.

Wine bottles displayed on the wall

On one side, wine bottles were lined up on display, and there was a separate wine-only menu. It seemed like a great fit for a day when you want to enjoy some Bamlidan-gil wine along with your food.

Private room that seats about 10 people

There was also a separate private room, which looked like it could seat around 10 people. It seemed like a good space for families or small group gatherings looking for a pasta restaurant near Jeongbalsan.

The family's table at Millepollie

After always going out for meat, the family found it refreshing to dine somewhere with such a nice atmosphere at Millepollie. It felt like a slightly more special dinner than usual, and I was glad we chose this pasta spot in Ilsan.

Millepollie's menu and the four dishes we ordered

The menu is mostly Italian dishes — pasta, pizza, risotto and so on.

Separate wine menu

There was also a separate wine menu. Since the kids had been singing about pizza dipped in honey, we ordered the gorgonzola pizza as a given.

We ordered four dishes in total: genovese gnocchi with basil pesto, aglio e olio, and pomodoro pasta. Everyone was hungry after swimming, so we splurged a bit that day at this Jeongbalsan pasta spot.

Warm bread served before the meal

The bread that came out first was warm with a crisp crust — delicious from the very start. It was also great for taking the edge off our hunger.

Then, one by one, the dishes we ordered at this Ilsan pasta spot arrived, and in the end all four suited our taste well. By the end, the family had scraped every plate clean.

For the gorgonzola pizza the kids had been waiting for, it was a nice touch that they split the honey into two portions.

Thanks to that, the kids each had their own to dip into without fighting over it.

The mellow, funky cheese aroma was also a hit, and the kids' reaction was especially good.

Aglio e olio at Millepollie

Millepollie's aglio e olio pasta

The aglio e olio, with its salty, savory oil flavor, completely won over my husband and me. The noodles were cooked just right and the seasoning was well balanced, so I kept reaching for more.

Even the basic pasta was delicious, which confirmed this really is one of Ilsan's go-to pasta spots.

Pomodoro pasta

The pomodoro used whole tomatoes, which made it feel like a slightly healthier choice.

The tomato's fresh, bright flavor cut through the richness of the other dishes, playing the perfect palate-cleanser role when we ordered several things at once.

Genovese gnocchi

The genovese gnocchi we'd been looking forward to didn't disappoint either.

The basil pesto's fragrance spread pleasantly, and the texture of the gnocchi dough was good too.

Gnocchi with large seafood pieces

The seafood pieces were big and plump, too — I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a Jeongbalsan pasta spot with a wide range of menu choices.

Adding a glass of house wine

A plate of gnocchi in smooth cream sauce

Especially while eating the smooth cream sauce, wine immediately came to mind. With the atmosphere being so nice on top of that, I thought a glass of Bamlidan-gil wine would be just right.

House wine ordered by the glass

My husband ordered a glass of house wine at this Ilsan pasta spot, and the moment it arrived, a fragrant wine aroma spread through the air. After one sip, he seemed quite satisfied and said he was glad he'd ordered it.

A glass of wine set beside the pasta

Slowly enjoying pasta, gnocchi, and Bamlidan-gil wine felt very different from a dinner that just fills you up after a day of swimming. If you come as a couple, it would be an even better Bamlidan-gil date spot to soak up the atmosphere.

Dinner table with a glass of wine to finish the meal

A whole bottle of wine felt like too much with the kids around, but a single glass of house wine was just right. Next time, I'd love to come back with just my husband and enjoy some Bamlidan-gil wine at a more leisurely pace.

Millepollie for a family dinner and for a date

What stuck with me about Millepollie wasn't just the food but also the friendly service. We could eat comfortably even with the kids along, and the soft lighting and cozy atmosphere also made it a great fit as a Bamlidan-gil date spot.

From the gorgonzola to the aglio e olio, pomodoro, and gnocchi, there wasn't a single dish we weren't fully satisfied with — we cleaned every plate. Since it suited the whole family's taste so well, I think it'll naturally come to mind next time we're looking for a pasta spot in Ilsan.

It was great for a family meal, but thinking about the atmosphere, next time I'd like to come with just my husband. I'd love to return as a Bamlidan-gil date spot where we can enjoy the meal at a more relaxed pace.
