Half a chicken kalguksu plus kid-friendly noodles, Songdo: Eonyang
In short
Eonyang Dak Kalguksu Incheon Songdo Branch is a Korean restaurant on Haedoji-ro in Songdo, Yeonsu-gu, Incheon, known for a chicken noodle soup made with a whole half chicken. Visiting with kids, the writer ordered the signature dak kalguksu (chicken noodle soup) alongside the milder Eonyang-style kalguksu, and both bowls disappeared fast thanks to meat so tender it fell off the bone, chewy noodles, and spicy silbi kimchi from the self-serve bar. With baby chairs, single seats, and in-building parking, it works equally well for a family dinner or eating alone.

Hi, this is Fovi Mom :) Lately the evenings have had this gentle breeze that makes me think autumn's on its way. So on one of those hot-soup-craving nights, I took the kids to Eonyang Dak Kalguksu in Songdo!
From the signature dak kalguksu (chicken noodle soup) loaded with a whole half chicken to the mild, kid-friendly Eonyang-style kalguksu, our whole family finished every bowl happily. Delivery orders kept pouring in the entire time we were eating, so it's clearly an already-proven Songdo favorite. Here's my honest review.

The restaurant's atmosphere, parking, and location
The moment we walked in, the clean, pleasant vibe hit us first. Delivery riders kept coming and going the whole time we ate, with delivery alerts constantly going off. There's even a separate delivery pickup door — you could really feel how popular this place is.

Ordering by kiosk, 15-minute cooking time
You can order easily by kiosk. It says cooking takes about 15 minutes, and maybe because of that, some people were calling ahead to order before arriving.

Besides dak kalguksu, there's also jjimdak (braised chicken) and other menu items, so it's easy to pick something for everyone. There's also a phone charging spot at the entrance, worth noting.

Seating for solo diners and groups alike
There are as many as 3 single seats, so it's great for eating alone, and the dining room is spacious enough that you wouldn't worry about coming with a big group. While we ate, all kinds of guests came in — solo diners, families with kids, older couples, you name it.

A whole half chicken, in the dak kalguksu
Can you tell from the bowl size comparison? Haha, it's massive. I feel like this one photo says it all.

When I picked up a chicken leg to share with the kids, it came apart so easily — incredibly tender.

It was so soft that the kids loved it, and it looked easy for elderly diners to eat too. The noodle portion was generous and the chicken legs were big, so we all ate our fill.

The main dish, dak kalguksu, was overwhelming just to look at. A real half chicken sits whole in the rich broth — just seeing it made me feel full already.

It's simmered so thoroughly that the bone and meat separate just by touching them with chopsticks. The kids ate it up really well.

The noodles were incredibly chewy too. With the deep, savory flavor from the long-simmered chicken, it felt like a real tonic-soup moment. Salt and pepper were set on the table as basics, but the broth was already seasoned well enough to eat as is.

Spicy silbi kimchi, set apart at the self-serve bar
The self-serve bar has kids' tableware, kimchi, danmuji (pickled radish), and more.

Uniquely, there's a separate spicy kimchi! Good news for anyone who loves silbi kimchi.

Its sharp, fiery kick pairs perfectly with the rich dak kalguksu broth.

Eonyang-style kalguksu, ordered for the kids
So the kids could eat comfortably, we also ordered the regular Eonyang-style kalguksu. The clean, mild broth is excellent.

It's savory with no gamey smell at all, making it perfect for young kids who can't handle spicy food. It also comes with gim-garu (dried seaweed flakes), which the kids loved even more.

The noodles were bouncy and soft, so as soon as we scooped some into the kids' bowls, they slurped it right down.

Why the whole family was so satisfied
This was a place where we could get a real tonic-soup boost from the deep, rich half-chicken kalguksu, while the kids filled up on the mild Eonyang-style version — leaving the whole family satisfied.

Between the combo of spicy kimchi and mellow broth, I get why it's so popular for delivery too. If you're looking for a warm noodle-soup spot to enjoy with kids in Songdo, definitely visit Eonyang Dak Kalguksu!
