Dak kalguksu (chicken knife-cut noodle soup) is one of the dishes I think of when I want a hearty lunch in Songdo. On my way to Songhyeon, I wanted something warm and filling, so I stopped by Eonyang Dak Kalguksu Incheon Songdo Branch in Songdo District 1.
The dish comes with half a whole chicken sitting right on top of the noodles, so it looks generous just from the visual alone — and I got to taste both the house-aged noodles and the perilla-based chicken broth, which was satisfying.

Inside the restaurant — bar seating, baby chair, self-serve bar

The dining hall is bigger and cleaner than I expected. The tables are spaced out comfortably, so it's a nice atmosphere for visiting with family or in a larger group.

Along with regular tables, there's bar-style seating too, so eating alone here doesn't feel awkward at all.

There are plenty of phone chargers set out, and a baby chair is available too.

There's also a self-serve bar on one side where you can help yourself to as much kimchi and pickled radish as you like.
Menu and prices

This Incheon Songdo restaurant's menu covers dak kalguksu, dak gomtang (chicken soup), Eonyang-style kalguksu, jjimdak, boiled pork, chewy mandu and more. The dak kalguksu costs ₩11,000 and lets you enjoy half a chicken and knife-cut noodles in one bowl.

There's also chogye guksu, a cold noodle dish that's refreshing on a still-warm day.

They say the standout feature is the 24-hour aged house-made noodles paired with a deep perilla-based chicken broth. It's the kind of dish that hits the spot when you're craving a bowl of soup.
Dak kalguksu, ₩11,000 — half a chicken as big as the bowl

✔️ Dak kalguksu, ₩11,000. I thought about ordering dak gomtang, but went with the signature dak kalguksu instead.

When the dak kalguksu arrived, the first thing that caught my eye was the size of the chicken.

Half a chicken, roughly the size of the bowl itself, sits plopped right on top of the noodles. It's bigger than I expected, so the portion already looked pretty generous.

I tried the broth first — it's perilla-based, so it's nutty and savory, but cleaner-tasting than I expected. Perilla kalguksu can sometimes feel heavy, but this broth wasn't thick or cloying, so I kept going back for more spoonfuls.

The chicken was well-cooked too — tender with no off smell. Pulling the meat apart with chopsticks, it came off along the grain easily, and there was plenty of it, so together with the noodles it made for a really filling meal.

The noodles, being house-made and aged, had a great chewy texture. Between the tender chicken, the nutty broth, and the chewy noodles, the bowl emptied fast.

Spicy and mild kimchi, choose your own from the self-serve bar
One thing I personally liked was the kimchi. The self-serve bar has two kinds — spicy and mild — so you can pick whichever suits your taste.
With half a chicken in the bowl, the portion is generous, and I was quite full afterward. Getting a hearty serving of chicken along with the noodles made it more satisfying than just a plain bowl of kalguksu.
Overall thoughts

Eonyang Dak Kalguksu Incheon Songdo Branch is a solid choice when you're looking for a filling lunch spot among Incheon Songdo restaurants. It's especially handy since it's located in Songdo District 1, and there's plenty of menu variety beyond dak kalguksu, including dak gomtang, jjimdak, and boiled pork.

With a big half-chicken portion, a nutty yet clean perilla-based broth, and chewy house-made noodles, it's a satisfying combination. It works well whether you're eating solo or with family, so if you're looking for a Korean restaurant in Songdo, Incheon, I'd recommend Eonyang Dak Kalguksu!
