Dog-friendly Cheonan café for salted caramel milk tea: Brewers Coffee
In short
Brewers Coffee Cheonan Sinbu Branch is a pet-friendly café on the café street in the Sinbu-dong food alley in Cheonan, Chungnam. It is the only Brewers Coffee location with an outdoor terrace, and this visit was a takeout order of salted caramel milk tea with a lemon madeleine, a financier and a canelé. The milk tea tasted like the ones in Taiwan, and the madeleine was the top pick among the baked treats.

Why Cheonan is a real bakery town
Brewers Coffee Cheonan Sinbu Branch is a French-style baked goods café located in the café street of the Sinbu-dong food alley in Cheonan. Everyone thinks Daejeon is the only place to do a bakery tour, but honestly Cheonan is the real bakery town. From Tousjours to just your average neighborhood bakery, everything's delicious. I'm not really into baked pastries, but sometimes I get a craving, so I went.

Brewers Coffee has a modern, clean exterior right in the middle of the alley. The outdoor terrace really stood out.

Inside Brewers Coffee and its outdoor terrace

The café street in the Sinbu-dong food alley gets a huge amount of foot traffic, weekday or weekend, and Brewers Coffee especially is always packed with customers. The vibe is great, and it's a café friendly to both kids and pets. What I loved most was the outdoor terrace!
On days with weather this nice, you have to make the most of cafés with outdoor terraces to really enjoy the fall — and Brewers's outdoor seating was set up to be really comfortable to hang out in.

The indoor window seats were nice too. Outside there was also a photo booth. It's paid, but it had a bit of a European feel, and it seemed like a lot of students were using it.

A place that makes even me, who doesn't drink coffee, want to order coffee.

Using Brewers's own merch as interior decor also adds to the atmosphere.

On top of coffee beans for sale, there was quite a bit of tempting merch, like tote bags and hats. Maybe because it's French-style dessert, it had that feel of a café tucked in an alley near the Louvre.

Isn't the tissue holder shaped like a canelé just too cute? The little props were charming, and the interior struck me as both modern and cozy. Natural light streamed in and the lighting was soft — if I worked nearby, I think I'd come here all the time after lunch.
Brewers Coffee menu: two kinds of milk tea

I think Brewers Coffee is always popular partly because you can choose your coffee beans (beans are also sold separately). But the drink menu here is genuinely solid — there are two kinds of milk tea and both are amazing. Personally, I'm a huge recommender of the salted caramel milk tea. Big, big recommend.

Egg tarts, financiers, canelés, madeleines — there was still a great variety even though I went well past lunch time. I think that was possible because it was a weekday. I've seen plenty of people lining up for opening rushes, so I was lucky, phew.
This is just what I photographed from one shelf. These are French-style baked goods and pastries made fresh daily every morning, so you can get freshly baked desserts. The lineup includes originals as well as a rotating seasonal selection.

Pet-friendly🤍 I'll have to come back with Miryo next time. I had another appointment, so I got everything to go. The packaging was pretty too — pretty enough that it'd make a nice gift.
What to order at Brewers Coffee: salted caramel milk tea and lemon madeleine

I grabbed a whole bunch.

The salted caramel milk tea — seriously, absolutely recommend. Super recommend, genuinely so good. It tasted like the milk tea I had in Taiwan. The real deal.

I didn't get to try the egg tart, but among the madeleine, financier, and canelé, my one pick is the madeleine. It was evenly seasoned, soft yet dense, and paired really well with the milk tea. I imagine it'd go just as well with coffee.

The lemon madeleine is seriously so good. It's not just flavored with lemon extract — there's actual lemon embedded inside.

Want outdoor seats with your dog? Go to the Cheonan Sinbu branch
Before fall ends, grab lunch and head to Brewers to enjoy the outdoor café. Oh, the Buldang branch is decent too, but the outdoor tables are only at the Sinbu branch — if you're getting takeout, any branch works, but for outdoor seating it's Sinbu branch all the way. It'd also make a great gift.
