Seoul rooftop bar in Jamsil with Lotte Tower views: 88 Nogari Bangi

In short

88 Nogari Bangi Branch (88노가리 방이직영점) is a rooftop beer bar in the Bangi-dong food street of Jamsil, Songpa-gu, Seoul, taking up the 2nd floor, 3rd floor and a rooftop terrace of its building. On a cool early-September evening revisit, the rooftop terrace with its Lotte Tower night view was the setting for meoktae (grilled dried pollack, 17,000 won), fried squid legs (10,000 won) and creamy Terra draft beer (4,900 won). With a self-serve snack bar on the 2nd floor that even stocks frozen Homerun Ball snacks, 88 Nogari Bangi Branch is a great second stop while the outdoor-seating weather lasts.

Rooftop outdoor bar atmosphere at 88 Nogari Bangi Branch

Why September is the time to visit 88 Nogari Bangi Branch in Jamsil

In early September, when the evenings finally turn cool, I always start craving an outdoor bar. The breeze was just right, so 88 Nogari Bangi Branch immediately came to mind. This is actually a revisit!! I know it'll get cold again fast once October hits, so right now is truly the last good window to enjoy a rooftop terrace bar outdoors. Lately the trend is clearly shifting toward bars with outdoor space and camping vibes.

My husband's all-time favorite drink — draft beer~

How did the meoktae (17,000 won) and fried squid legs (10,000 won) taste?

A plate of meoktae dried pollack

With meoktae, the nutty flavor bursts out the moment you bite into that crisp, crunchy texture. The portion was generous too, plenty for two to share.

Generous portion of meoktae with dipping sauce

A great protein-packed dish and a really solid drinking snack.

Freshly served plate of fried squid legs

Since we were here for a second round, we added the fried squid legs too. Plump squid comes out coated in crispy batter.

Fried squid legs dipped in chili sauce

Fried squid can easily turn chewy and tough, but here it stayed soft and the seasoning was spot on. Dipping it in the chili sauce brought out even more umami.

Table with meoktae, fried squid legs and draft beer

Even as a second-round stop, these were such good picks haha.

Ending with frozen Homerun Balls from the snack bar, 2,000 won

Frozen Homerun Balls ordered for dessert

For dessert, we also tried the frozen Homerun Balls. Freezing the white chocolate–flavored snack balls made for a refreshingly sweet way to end the night. 🖤 From anju to dessert, it felt like we covered everything — which is probably exactly why I keep coming back to 88 Nogari Bangi Branch!

Seasonal outdoor drinking you can only catch now at 88 Nogari Bangi Branch

September passes faster than you'd think. Jamsil's 88 Nogari Bangi Branch nails atmosphere, menu and location all at once, which is exactly why I keep wanting to come back even after revisiting. 🫶 It's on a route where you can stroll around Seokchon Lake and shop at Lotte World Mall all in one go, so I'd recommend it for both a date night and a work dinner. Seats fill up fast on Friday–Saturday evenings especially, and there aren't many cool-breeze evenings left, so I'd say go this week while you still can!

It's right at the entrance to the Bangi-dong food street, within walking distance of Jamsil Station and Seokchon Lake. When you're in Jamsil, top it off with a walk around Seokchon Lake — a proper evening stroll.
