Yuseong family café for cinnamon chimney bread: Luonto

There’s a place my feet naturally lead me to whenever I go to Sutonggol. My family has already visited this café several times, and this time the three of us—my child, my husband, and me—went back to Luonto Sutonggol Branch (루온토 수통골점) together!

My family has already visited this café several times, and this time the three of us—my child, my husband, and me—went back to Luonto Sutonggol Branch together. There’s parking in front of, beside, and behind the building, as well as outdoors, so it’s easy to use! (I still can’t get over seeing someone reserve a spot by literally standing in it here before;;)

I remembered how delicious the cinnamon chimney bread was on our last visit, so since we were in Sutonggol, we made sure not to skip it this time either! (I love Luonto!) My child is now at the point of looking for chimney bread first whenever we come to Luonto, haha!

A spacious, pretty spot for visiting with family

Luonto is so spacious that I think it’s really comfortable to visit with family! There are several areas from the first floor onward, plus outdoor seating, so on a nice day it’s also great for taking your time outside!

Luonto Sutonggol Branch is especially known in Yuseong-gu as a café with outdoor domes, which I love because you can enjoy the atmosphere without being too affected by the weather!

The space blends with Sutonggol’s natural scenery, so simply sitting in the café feels a little like being on a trip. And every time I come, I love the second-floor view—watching the water flow by with a cup of tea is just so nice! Maybe that’s why there are lots of couples on dates, but also plenty of families visiting with children like us~ It really is a Sutonggol landmark!

Another thing is that every season has a different charm. In winter, the Christmas atmosphere is no joke—so much so that lots of people come looking for a Daejeon café with a giant tree! We came to see the tree last year too. I bet it’ll be gorgeous again at the end of this year~ It’s such a great place for photos, you know??? Getting to see a new side of Luonto whenever we come to Sutonggol is part of the fun.

Cinnamon chimney bread we couldn’t skip again today

This time, we ordered two cinnamon chimney breads. We also ordered an Americano and an iced vanilla latte! Honestly, coffee is great and all, but coming to Luonto without ordering chimney bread would be such a shame!! It’s practically essential—there seemed to be one on every table???

It’s a flavor that stays on my mind after trying it once, so it naturally becomes something I order whenever I come to Sutonggol. Now I just order two at a time from the start! (The little one ate a whole one;;)

Chimney bread tastes even better warm

As expected, it was even more delicious eaten warm. The outside was lightly crisp, while the inside was moist and soft, so it was good even on its own. The sweet, fragrant flavor unique to cinnamon makes it such a perfect match for coffee.

Dip it into the whipped cream that comes with it, and the added creaminess makes it delicious in another way too. My child especially loves chimney bread, so one was almost entirely claimed by my child again this time, haha. My child ate it well on our previous visit too, and of course enjoyed it so much again this time. When you go to a café with a child, there are times when it’s hard to find something suitable for them to eat, but ordering one chimney bread at Luonto makes my child very happy.

Taking it easy with coffee

I had the iced vanilla latte, and the sweet vanilla latte paired surprisingly well with the cinnamon chimney bread. My husband ordered an Americano to have with it.

Take a sip of Americano while eating the sweet chimney bread, and it refreshes your palate—it’s a combination that keeps you eating! In the end, both chimney breads disappeared in no time, haha.

Luonto is no longer a café my family visits just once and then forgets; it’s somewhere we think of every time we go to Sutonggol. We can have delicious chimney bread, the space is roomy and easy to visit with a child, and we can take a break while enjoying Sutonggol’s nature in the outdoor areas.

Maybe that’s why, even after several visits, I don’t get tired of it and keep coming back.
