Seonyudo burger restaurant for a park picnic: BAS Burger
In short
BAS Burger Seonyudo is a handmade burger restaurant in Yeongdeungpo, Seoul, right by Seonyudo Station. I had the Double Bacon Cheese Burger and Hawaiian Burger, plus multiple refills of pepper-dusted James Chips. Verdict: a very handy stop for burgers and chips before a Seonyudo Park picnic.

You know those days when a handmade burger suddenly sounds SO good? ㅇㅅㅇ I eat burgers fairly regularly, and personally I find myself reaching for handmade burgers much more often than regular fast-food ones, haha. BAS Burger, the handmade-burger brand I had visited before! I had something to do near Dangsan Station this time, so I stopped by the Seonyudo branch and had it again after a while. Still delicious, as expected...
Especially my absolute favorite: James Chips!!! ㅠㅠㅠ These are BAS Burger's own potato chips. I went for burgers and thoroughly demolished the chips too, ㅇㅅㅇㅋ. It is right in front of Seonyudo Station, so it is easy to find, and it is in a great spot for takeout before or after Seonyudo Park.
Right by Seonyudo Station: easy for solo dining and takeout?

BAS Burger Seonyudo (바스버거 선유도점) is practically right in front of you when you come out of Seonyudo Station Exit 4, so it was super easy to find. It is also close enough for anyone walking over from Dangsan toward Seonyudo@@ And since it is on the way to Seonyudo Park, it is perfect for picking up takeout before heading there!!!

The restaurant had a slightly pink-toned feel, but it was clean overall and cozier than I expected. Most tables seat two, with four-person tables inside too, so it is totally fine for a visit with friends!!

There are also seats that are nice for eating alone, so it is an easy setup for a solo meal in Seonyudo, haha. Something that always fascinates me whenever I visit BAS Burger is that there are always foreign customers, whichever branch I go to. There were foreign customers this day too, perhaps because it was lunchtime, and delivery riders kept coming and going, so the whole place felt very busy.
How do you order burgers and sides?

You can order through the table-order system at each table.

From the basic BAS Burger to the Hawaiian Burger, Double Bacon Cheese Burger, Mushroom Burger, and Tam-yok Burger, there is quite a variety. They also have chicken and shrimp burgers, plus sides such as fries and onion rings, so it is easy to choose according to your taste, haha.
Personally, if it is your first visit, the classic BAS Burger is a good choice. But if you are craving a slightly sweet combination like I was, I recommend the Hawaiian Burger too!!
James Chips and refill service

My favorite BAS Burger service... Unlimited potato chips fried every morning, seven free sauces, and soda refills!!!! Check out the other services too, haha. Whew whew.
What I thought of the James Chips and Hawaiian Burger

And then, my favorite time... time to go get James Chips >ㅁ<

My very favorite James Chips, sprinkle sprinkle with pepper. These are thick-cut potato chips made from fresh Idaho potatoes in the US, and since I already love potatoes themselves so much, I really love these ㅠㅠ. Pepper is set out beside the chips, so just sprinkle on as much as you want before taking them.
Ketchup and mayonnaise are available as standard too.

At the counter, there are even several kinds of sauce. You can dip your burger in them, have them with fries or James Chips, and mix them however you like, which was fun.

Turnover is fairly quick, so after a short wait, our burgers came out. They look pretty generous, right?

James Chips I brought over with pepper sprinkled all over them ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ One refill is not enough for these... yep, I got more... haha. Two or more rounds are essential, haha.

A fresh-looking burger in greens and reds. When I think of BAS Burger, I personally love the color of its lettuce too, haha. Maybe because the green is so vivid, it makes the burger's overall color really pop. With tomato and onion on top as well, it looked quite appetizing.

The Double Bacon Cheese Burger comes generously loaded with two patties and two slices of cheddar, so if you love meat, you need to have this one and enjoy that smoky grilled flavor, haha.

Here is the Hawaiian Burger that I have oddly kept craving lately, haha. I did not really like Hawaiian pizza, but at some point I started wanting pineapple, hahaha. Is it my age???

The Hawaiian Burger has a beef patty, real cheddar cheese, butterhead lettuce, low-sodium bacon, and two slices of pineapple. I especially liked that the bun was very soft, and because the pineapple was thinly sliced, it was easier to eat than I expected.
The sweetness of the pineapple and the clean flavor of the patty came together, and personally I thought they paired really well. The patty had a subtle smoky flavor, so it tasted clean overall without being bland.

Cannot leave out the fries either... I am a potato god, after all... possessed by Jeomsuni from Bom Bom.

They were crispy and delicious on their own, but rather than simply dipping them in ketchup or mayonnaise, I prefer BAS Burger's special sauces, haha. They are a little spicy and savory, so they went really well with the fries!!! Since there are lots of sauces, give them a try >_<
But honestly, while the burgers were delicious too, I still liked the James Chips best, hoho. They are addictive...
Why it is great for takeout before a Seonyudo Park picnic
BAS Burger Seonyudo is good for dining in, but its location is so good that it works wonderfully for takeout too! You can stop by directly on the way to Seonyudo Park, pick up burgers, and enjoy them at the park like a picnic!!! In cool weather like this, taking one burger and, importantly, some James Chips to eat in the park sounds sooo nice.
- Easy access from Seonyudo Station Exit 4
- Unlimited James Chips, freshly fried every morning
- Fries to enjoy with a variety of sauces
- Thick patties with a subtle smoky flavor and soft burger buns
- Seats suited to solo visits, plus delivery and takeout
If you want a generous handmade burger right in front of Seonyudo Station, stop by BAS Burger Seonyudo! I recommend it for picking up burgers for Seonyudo Park or for a solo meal near Seonyudo Station. Especially if you are a potato-loving James Chips fan, you really must try them, haha.
