In short

People the Terrace is a Western-style restaurant on Dosan-daero 81-gil in Cheongdam, Gangnam, Seoul, with an outdoor terrace, a garden and a fountain. Seated on the terrace, two people ordered the risotto mushroom cream tartufo & steak (33,000 won), shrimp hot rosé (28,000 won) and kaimak bingsu (38,000 won) for 99,000 won in total. The deeply mushroomy cream risotto was the standout, and People the Terrace works well for an atmospheric dinner or date in Cheongdam.

I was looking for a dinner spot in Cheongdam-dong and ended up at People the Terrace.

From outside, the white facade with its row of arched windows made it easy to spot, but once I stepped in, the space was much bigger than I'd expected.

The weather was nice that day so we sat on the terrace, and once the lights came on in the evening it had a completely different vibe from eating indoors haha.

We ordered three things: risotto mushroom cream tartufo & steak, shrimp hot rosé, and kaimak bingsu.

Where is People the Terrace and what are its hours?

It's about 684m from Exit 2 of Apgujeong Rodeo Station. Not right at the station, but a decent walk if you're browsing the Cheongdam luxury shopping street on the way~

Inside People the Terrace: the ground-floor garden and fountain

People the Terrace was fun to explore the moment you step in.

The entrance area has dim lighting and feels a bit heavy, but once you go further in, there are tons of plants and even a fountain in the middle, and the whole mood changes completely.

Big potted plants and trees are placed between the tables, and with lighting tucked in here and there, it looked really pretty at night~ If you're looking for a Cheongdam terrace restaurant, this space is probably what will catch your eye most.

What are the outdoor terrace seats like (and the mosquito repellent)?

We ate on the outdoor terrace this time, and sitting at a table with a white tablecloth made the meal feel a bit more special.

It's right next to a Cheongdam-dong street with cars passing by, but the terrace area is set apart inside, so sitting there in the evening had a certain charm haha.

They also had mosquito repellent set up for the outdoor seats. As shown in the photo, it was placed right near the table for use, which felt pretty practical for using the terrace in summer or early fall.

What's the second floor of People the Terrace like?

Before eating, I went up to check out the second floor too. It had a completely different feel from the ground-floor garden.

With dark blue sofas and lighting, and an interior that seemed to keep the walls as they were, it felt more private, and it looked like it would suit a gathering or birthday party too! It was fun comparing it to the bright, lively ground floor.

Risotto mushroom cream tartufo & steak, 33,000 won

Of the three dishes, the risotto mushroom cream tartufo & steak was my favorite. From the moment it arrived, there were plenty of mushrooms, with a thick steak on top.

Even from the photo you can tell the risotto wasn't just heavy cream — there were mushroom pieces visible throughout. Cutting the steak and eating it with the risotto, the meat had a deeply seared surface while the inside still had some pink left, making it more tender than I expected~

The mushroom cream risotto in particular was savory with a pretty strong mushroom aroma. Biting into porcini and various other mushrooms here and there kept the texture from being monotonous, and topping it with a bite of steak made the combination work really well.

If I had to pick just one of the three to eat again, I'd go with this risotto haha. If you like a rich cream risotto, this one is pretty satisfying.

Shrimp hot rosé, 28,000 won

The shrimp hot rosé, as pictured, had large shrimp in an orange-tinted rosé sauce. It wasn't just shrimp — there were grilled mushrooms and vegetables mixed in too, with a generous amount of greens on top.

The sauce coated the noodles thickly, so the first bite brought the soft, mellow flavor typical of rosé sauce, followed by a spicy kick! The shrimp weren't small either, and their springy texture paired nicely with the noodles.

If the risotto leans rich and savory, the shrimp hot rosé is on the spicier side, so ordering both together worked out well haha.

Kaimak bingsu, 38,000 won

We finished with the newly launched kaimak bingsu. The look of it was more unique than I expected.

White kaimak and thin strands of pişmaniye were piled up like a mountain on top of milk shaved ice, and on the very top was a piece that looked like honeycomb.

Digging into the milk shaved ice and kaimak

It stood out the most of the three dishes even in photos haha. The ice inside had a softer milky flavor than regular shaved ice, and eating it together with the kaimak made it richer and more savory.

The pişmaniye melted away in the mouth, which made it fun to eat alongside the bingsu, and adding a little of the sweet honey on top brought even more sweetness. There was plenty of it too — after two mains, the two of us shared it as dessert and it was more than enough!

Is People the Terrace worth it for a Cheongdam terrace dinner?

I went looking for a stylish spot in Cheongdam-dong, and People the Terrace was definitely fun to explore beyond just the food.

The ground floor has a bright garden feel with plants and a fountain, while the second floor is dark blue-toned — a completely different atmosphere haha.

I ate on the outdoor terrace, so getting the evening breeze while eating was nice too haha. Having mosquito repellent ready was a nice touch as well.

Of the dishes, the risotto mushroom cream tartufo & steak, with its strong mushroom aroma and steak on the side, was the most memorable.

If you're looking for a good-vibe dinner spot or date spot in Cheongdam, this Cheongdam terrace restaurant is worth a visit.
