The atmosphere and waiting area at Bologna near Daejeon City Hall Station
Wanting to enjoy delicious pasta and steak risotto somewhere with a great atmosphere, I visited Bologna Daejeon Dunsan Branch, a restaurant that is well known near Daejeon City Hall Station.

The interior was antique and refined, so the moment I walked in, it had that unmistakable Dunsan-dong restaurant charm. The dining area was comfortable and the waiting system was well organized, making it seem perfect for a date or gathering.

There was a Catchtable kiosk at the entrance for easily registering for a wait. Luckily, we could be seated right away when we visited, so we happily headed in. Even the waiting area was quiet, clean, and neatly arranged.
Inside, the warm, antique wood-toned interior immediately caught my eye. The soft lighting created such an upscale mood that it made me look forward to the food even more.

As you would expect from a popular restaurant near Daejeon City Hall Station, the tables were generously spaced and neatly set.

What we ordered in the B Set
Ordering was easy using the tablet at our table.
We chose the B Set, which included ricotta cheese salad, whole bacon pomodoro, cube steak cream risotto, Gorgonzola pizza, plus a starter soup and bread. It was such a generous spread—exactly what I hoped for from a good Dunsan-dong restaurant.
Mild starter soup and bread
The starter soup arrived first, warming up my palate. Its soft, nutty cream flavor spread gently and really awakened my appetite. It was mild rather than overpowering, so it was ideal for enjoying lightly before the meal.

Next came warm baked bread with balsamic oil. The crisp exterior and moist interior were wonderful; lightly dipping it in the oil filled my mouth with tangy, nutty flavor. The pairing of warm bread and balsamic was so appealing.

Ricotta cheese salad
The ricotta cheese salad that came next looked incredibly abundant from the start. A generous amount of house-made ricotta sat over fresh, crisp vegetables, and just looking at it felt satisfying.
The combination of nutty, soft ricotta, sweet-tangy dressing, and crunchy sliced almonds was fantastic.
The tomato sauce in the whole bacon pomodoro
The whole bacon pomodoro arrived as the main dish, and the aroma of its rich tomato sauce immediately reached my nose. A thick piece of whole bacon sat right on top, making for an impressive presentation.

The sauce coated the noodles beautifully, while the bright tomato flavor and the salty, nutty bacon were perfectly balanced.
I cut the whole bacon into bite-size pieces, wrapped it around the chewy noodles, and took a bite—the smoked bacon’s rich juices burst out. The tangy tomato sauce cut through the bacon’s richness completely, so I could enjoy it without getting tired of it until the end. Among restaurants near Daejeon City Hall Station, the depth of this pasta sauce was especially memorable.

Cube steak cream risotto
The cube steak cream risotto came next, and its thick, rich cream sauce had a truly savory flavor. Beautifully plated seared steak cubes and asparagus pleased both the eyes and the palate. Every grain of rice was deeply infused with smooth cream flavor, making it wonderfully nutty.
The juicy cube steak was exceptionally tender, revealing a clean, savory flavor with every bite. A touch of salty red pepper in the thick cream risotto kept it from feeling heavy and gave it a clean finish. It was a polished risotto worthy of a great Dunsan-dong restaurant.

Gorgonzola pizza with pastry dough
Finally, the Gorgonzola pizza stood out for its unique texture from the flaky layers of pastry dough. It was topped generously with cheese, delivering a deep, nutty, salty cheese flavor. Thanks to the deliciously crackly crust, the texture felt even more layered.
Dipping the pizza generously into the sweet honey served alongside it gave that intense sweet-and-salty combination. The crisp outside and moist inside of the pastry dough, nutty cheese, and sweet honey made a truly perfect trio. The balance of the whole set menu was excellent, and I was satisfied throughout the meal.

Bologna was a great restaurant near Daejeon City Hall Station, with an accessible location and nothing missing from its atmosphere, service, or food. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to enjoy delicious Italian food along with a stylish atmosphere in Dunsan-dong..>.<
