While looking for a good spot in Gwangalli, Busan, I ended up at Jukrim Sutbul Dwaeji Gui. My friend and I had pork belly there, and it turned out to be the most memorable meal of this whole Busan trip.
Why this Gwangalli BBQ spot stuck with me
Among the many BBQ spots in Gwangalli, what made this one stand out was that the staff grilled the meat for us themselves — so convenient. I really want to recommend this place to anyone looking for pork belly in Gwangalli.

The pork belly and pork neck were great, but so were the charcoal-grilled mushrooms and side dishes — a real find in Gwangalli, Busan 👍🏻
Where is Jukrim Sutbul Dwaeji Gui and when is it open?

Jukrim Sutbul Dwaeji Gui is located on the 1st floor of 71 Gwangnam-ro, Suyeong-gu, Busan, South Korea. It's about 286m from Geumnyeonsan Station Exit 3, roughly a 4-minute walk.

It's also fairly close to Gwangalli Beach, so it was easy to stop by for dinner after checking out the sea during our Busan trip.

They're open weekdays from 5pm to 1am the next day, and Saturday and Sunday from 3pm to 1am. Last order is at midnight. My friend and I stopped by in the evening during our trip, and the clean interior made it a nice place to eat.

When two women go to a Korean BBQ place, it's usually a bit awkward because someone has to keep grilling the meat — but here, the staff grilled it all for us. We just sat and ate while chatting about our trip. Haha.
How much is the Jukrim Handon Set, and what's in it?

We ordered the Jukrim Handon Set, priced at ₩49,000.

There are plenty of other menu items, but what we ordered came with 255g of pork belly, 200g of pork neck, and soybean paste stew (doenjang jjigae) — perfect for two people.

The menu listed it at a discounted ₩49,000, ₩6,000 off. Getting to try both cuts together instead of ordering them separately was perfect for us as first-time visitors!!!

Beyond that, aged fresh pork belly and aged fresh pork neck were each ₩14,000 for 130g, and the Iberico pluma, secreto, and rib finger cuts were also ₩14,000 each.

I'd love to try the Iberico specialty cuts next time 🥹

The menu was more varied than I expected, so I was a bit torn at first about what to order, but starting with the Jukrim Handon Set for two turned out to be a solid choice.
So how good was the Gwangalli pork belly?

In the end, the pork belly was genuinely delicious. Watching it turn golden brown over the charcoal, with that savory smell rising up — and being hungry from a day of sightseeing definitely made it taste even better. 🔥

The pork belly had a great chewy texture and stayed moist without being overcooked. The pork neck wasn't dry either — light, clean-tasting, with a nice bite.

The unexpected star: charcoal-grilled mushrooms
And personally, the biggest surprise was the mushrooms! Grilled together over charcoal, they picked up a subtle smoky flavor that was really delicious. 🍄

We went there for the meat but ended up talking about how good the mushrooms were the whole time. Haha (best mushrooms I've ever had, honestly ㅠㅠ). The side dishes were varied too, which was nice.

With so many side dishes to pair with the meat, the whole spread felt generous, and switching between them kept the pork belly from getting repetitive.

Having the soybean paste stew alongside meant we could finish off the meal with rice too.
The most memorable place from our Busan trip

We ate all kinds of food on this Busan trip, but strangely enough, the first place that comes to mind is Jukrim Sutbul Dwaeji Gui!! (My friend agrees too, haha)

If I had to name one downside, it's that there can be a wait during busy times like weekend evenings. We didn't wait long, but if you want a relaxed meal, it's probably best to avoid peak hours.

If you want to see the beach and eat great meat in Gwangalli, remember Jukrim Sutbul Dwaeji Gui. It was the most memorable BBQ spot in Gwangalli from this Busan trip, and I'd love to come back next time I'm in the area. 🥰
