Why dry, split ends sent me looking for a Dongtan hair salon

Maybe it's the change of seasons, but my hair had gotten really dry lately and the ends kept splitting, which was quietly bugging me.

My scalp felt dry too, so this time I figured I should get proper care instead of just a simple cut, and started looking for a Hwaseong hair salon. That's how I ended up at Juno Hair Dongtan Solbitnaru Branch.

The moment the elevator doors open on the 2nd floor, you're right at the salon, haha.

It's in the main commercial area of Dongtan Solbitnaru Village, so it wasn't hard to find. For parking, you can use the building's underground parking lot.

One of my personal criteria for picking a Hwaseong hair salon is accessibility and parking, and Juno Hair was convenient on that front too.

How big is the salon, and is there a kids' play area?

The first thing I noticed walking into Juno Hair Dongtan Solbitnaru Branch was just how big it is. Personally, I'd say it's big enough to rank in the top 3 among Hwaseong hair salons.

With such a spacious layout, there was no cramped feeling at all, and the overall mood was relaxed. It felt like being at a café.

And what caught my eye was a kids' play area set up in one corner!

For moms who have to bring their kids along to the salon, a space like this is really welcome.

Seeing that they'd set up somewhere for kids to play while waiting,

I felt like they'd thought pretty carefully about things from the customer's perspective.

Damaged-hair S-course clinic and layered cut at Juno Hair

This time I got the damaged-hair S-course clinic from designer Shia.

Bottom line first: my hair got noticeably softer, so I was very satisfied :)

I talked with Shia about my current hair condition before the clinic started, and she gave me a really thorough consultation that helped a lot — the whole process felt comfortable.

She explained it as a treatment that helps thoroughly clean out foreign substances and drying agents from the hair.

Partway through she also did a moisture treatment, and there was visibly thick, dense steam that made my scalp feel moist all the way through, while the product seemed to soak in well too, hahaha.

Above all, before the treatment my hair kept splitting and feeling dry,

but once it was finished, I could feel the texture was definitely softer when I touched it.

My hair felt much calmer and the touch was so much softer that it lifted my mood too, haha.

Since I was already there, I also thinned out my hair a bit, changed up the style with a light layered cut, and got my fringe trimmed.

It wasn't a big change, but just getting a cut and trimming my fringe was oddly refreshing, haha. They say cutting your fringe makes you look younger, lol — turns out that was just my own delusion, hahaha.

Still, I loved how soft my hair turned out so, so much.

After this visit, I felt like I understood why people search for Juno Hair when looking for a Hwaseong hair salon.

A spacious, comfortable salon with a play area for kids, and above all, the damaged-hair clinic result I was hoping for was satisfying. Of course, the care you need can vary depending on your hair condition, so it's better to consult with a designer rather than assuming the same treatment is right for you.

I'm thinking of trying a hippie perm around winter, and I'm planning to visit Juno Hair Dongtan Solbitnaru Branch again then and get a consultation with designer Shia :)
