Gangnam brunch with honey cod and window views: Osteria Eden

In short

Osteria Eden is a brunch restaurant in Gangnam, Seoul, with wall-to-wall window views and valet parking. After my wedding photo-shoot fitting, my mom, fiancé, and I shared raw tuna pizza, honey cod steak, scallop lemon butter pasta, and crème brûlée for 110,000 won. Verdict: a pretty, inventive choice for a Seoul brunch date, despite the high prices and modest portions.

Finally, it was the day of my Polaris Wedding photo-shoot fitting. Afterward, I wondered where to take my mom, then visited Osteria Eden, a Cheongdam brunch date spot with appealing interiors and a tempting menu, with my mom and fiancé 🤍

Since I was taking my mom there after the fitting, I looked mostly for somewhere with easy parking. Osteria Eden offers valet parking for a reasonable ₩5,000 for two hours, so we could visit comfortably without parking stress.

Osteria Eden is on the second floor, and as soon as I opened the door, the airy floor-to-ceiling window view was so pretty 🌿

We arrived around 12:30 on a weekday, and sunshine poured beautifully through the window-side seats, so I thought, ah, we picked well..💗 It had been a while since a Seoul date with my mom, and I wanted to bring her somewhere pretty. With the easy parking too, I think I’ll come here often when making brunch plans in Cheongdam or Apgujeong.

It looked great for a blind date, a date, or a wedding-parent meeting too, but the window seats will probably fill up quickly on weekends, so I think reserving ahead would be best.

What the three of us—my mom, fiancé, and I—ordered

The three of us visited together and ordered three dishes plus drinks: the Akami Raw Tuna Pizza for ₩36,000, Honey Cod Steak for ₩35,000, Scallop Lemon Butter Pasta for ₩35,000, and Coke Zero for ₩6,000, coming to ₩110,000 total. ₩6,000 for a soda🫠 Gangnam prices are scary....

Cold, crisp Akami Raw Tuna Pizza

A look I’d never seen anywhere! The signature Akami Raw Tuna Pizza 🍕

The first dish out was the signature Akami Raw Tuna Pizza, which I’d really been looking forward to. Even visually, it was on a completely different level from ordinary pizza..

Cold pizza with raw tuna on a tortilla

A cold pizza with fresh-looking red raw tuna on top of a thin, crisply baked tortilla—truly a first for me.

Crisp tortilla of the Akami Raw Tuna Pizza

I took a big bite and wow... the crisp tortilla and cold raw tuna, slightly frozen as if it were melting softly, were unfamiliar but delicious. I worried the tuna might be greasy, but mustard seeds and onion kept it clean and balanced. It certainly felt like a signature dish, but because it was cold pizza, my mom and I only ate one slice each and put it down; I don’t think older people would like it much haha.

Melting honey cod and creamy scallop pasta

After the raw tuna pizza came the Honey Cod Steak and Scallop Butter Lemon Pasta. The lemon pasta color was seriously pretty 🍋🍋

Golden-seared scallops and creamy pasta

The golden-seared scallops were tender rather than chewy, and the pasta was creamy. I expected a lighter lemon pasta, so it wasn’t the flavor I had imagined, but the scallops went well with the creamy butter sauce, and it was really delicious while warm.

Image introducing Spain’s honey cod dish

It’s the famous honey cod dish that anyone who has traveled in Spain knows. We’re going to Spain for our honeymoon next year, and since my mom likes Spanish food, I thought this was absolutely the dish we had to order.

Honey Cod Steak with tomato sauce

The flesh was so tender that it separated gently along the flakes just by touching it with a fork, and it went well with the tomato sauce underneath. The cod steak itself tasted mild, so it seemed like a dish even people who don’t like meat might enjoy, though the portion was a little small haha.

Brunch plating and floor-to-ceiling window view

Still, the plating was pretty and there were those beautiful wall-to-wall windows, so we were busy taking photos. It is a little pricey and the portions aren’t large, but the food is varied and the atmosphere is lovely—just right for an Apgujeong brunch date!

Review-event crème brûlée and coffee time

By the way, they’re also running a Naver review event, where you can choose between tiramisu and crème brûlée, so we tried the crème brûlée 💗

Crème brûlée chosen through the review event

It had been a while since I’d had crème brûlée—the fun of cracking through that top. Having dessert taken care of too made it perfect. I think it would be even better with coffee. The right answer is simply to have coffee time here too haha.

The end of a brunch date at Osteria Eden

It was a successful date because we got to try inventive brunch rather than the food we always eat. Thanks to the wide-open window views, the restaurant atmosphere was so pretty, and with the convenient valet parking too, I’ve mentally saved it as a spot for next year’s wedding-invitation gathering.
