Gangnam Italian restaurant terrace lunch with tuna pizza: Osteria Eden
In short
Osteria Eden is an Italian restaurant in Gangnam, Seoul, with an outdoor terrace and distinctive dishes. We had French onion soup, akami raw tuna pizza, and Korean beef White Handkerchief pasta on a relaxed lunch date. Osteria Eden is a lovely pick for terrace dining and an out-of-the-ordinary pizza.

On the day my boyfriend and I had planned a brunch date, the weather was so nice that I looked for somewhere we could enjoy brunch leisurely outdoors—and found Osteria Eden, with its outdoor terrace seating! The space was prettier than I expected and the menu was unusual too, so we had a more relaxed lunch date than usual 🤍

Within walking distance of Apgujeong Rodeo Station

Osteria Eden, a popular brunch spot in Cheongdam, is less than a 10-minute walk from Exit 3 of Apgujeong Rodeo Station, so it was an easy distance to walk from the station. It is directly above Schedule, so it was easy to find too. We stopped by for lunch after running errands nearby, and it looked like a great area to enjoy cafés or shopping before or after your meal.

If you have plans in Cheongdam or are planning a date around Apgujeong Rodeo, I recommend it as a lunch stop.
An outdoor terrace with a European feel

The biggest reason we came here for lunch was the outdoor terrace seating +_+ I love eating in the sunshine on a nice day, and sitting on the terrace that day made the date feel a little more special!

The interior was also styled with a sophisticated European feel, and together with the terrace, it almost felt like we were in Paris, haha. It had a different atmosphere from a casual Cheongdam brunch café, which made it so nice for a leisurely lunch.

The menu and what we ordered

- Akami raw tuna pizza ₩36,000
- Sweet shrimp uni capellini ₩38,000
- Korean beef 1++ White Handkerchief ₩36,000
- Asado T-bone steak ₩35,000
- Korean beef 1++ tenderloin ₩58,000
- Honey cod steak ₩35,000
- French onion soup ₩19,000
- Clam chowder ₩23,000
- Caesar salad ₩19,000
- Ricotta salad ₩23,000

We ordered French onion soup, akami raw tuna pizza, and Korean beef 1++ White Handkerchief. If you visit with several people, I think it would be nice to order a varied spread of pizza or pasta, steak, and salad.
How was the French onion soup?

First up was the French onion soup: caramelized onion soup topped with baguette and Emmental cheese, then baked. I loved having the toasted bread and melted cheese together in the warm soup.

We chose some slightly different dishes that day, and this was delicious—I was glad we ordered it!
The unexpected pairing of akami raw tuna pizza

The dish I was most curious about was the akami raw tuna pizza, haha. Raw tuna with wasabi mayo and mustard seeds was placed on a tortilla grilled over charcoal.

At first, raw tuna and pizza sounded like a slightly unfamiliar combination, but it was fun precisely because it was unlike the pizzas we usually eat! My boyfriend and I ordered it out of curiosity, and if you want to try a pizza that is a little different from usual, I think it is worth ordering at least once. The crisp texture and meltingly tender raw tuna went strangely well together, and I kept reaching for more *_*

Korean beef White Handkerchief fresh pasta

The last dish we ordered was the Korean beef 1++ White Handkerchief. It was wide fresh pasta with sous-vide topside beef, egg yolk, and cream sauce, and even the presentation was unusual! Unlike a typical cream pasta, it came with Korean beef and egg yolk to enjoy together, so the dish itself was quite distinctive too +_+

You cut the fresh pasta yourself into easy-to-eat pieces, then had it with the cream sauce and sous-vide steak. It was a pasta unlike anything I had tried before, both in flavor and appearance, so it was fun to look at and fun to eat, haha.

As we ate slowly and chatted, it felt like we were having a lunch date without rushing for the first time in a while. Especially on a cool, lovely day like this, the appeal of outdoor terrace seating feels even greater. I would recommend Osteria Eden, which satisfied us with both its atmosphere and food, for a Cheongdam brunch or a lunch-date spot with an outdoor terrace 👍
