Seongbok Station bar in Yongin with welcome draft beer: Pocha Dubai
In short
Pocha Dubai (포차 두바이) is a pocha-style bar in Yongin, Gyeonggi, a three-minute walk from Exit 4 of Seongbok Station and inside the Day Park A building where Seongbok-dong's bars cluster. A welcome draft beer and a basic side of kidney beans arrive as soon as you sit down, and the stir-fried beef with peppers (18,000 won) is served over a tortilla you crush and pile the topping onto. With draft beer at 5,000 won, big windows and a TV, Pocha Dubai works just as well for solo drinking as for a group watching a game.

Where is Pocha Dubai? A 3-minute walk from Seongbok Station Exit 4
Here's my review of Pocha Dubai, a Seongbok Station spot located three minutes on foot from Exit 4~~

It's located in Day Park, where Seongbok-dong's bars are clustered together. Come out of Seongbok Station Exit 4, walk up the stairs you'll see, and Pocha Dubai greets you right there~
Parking is probably not possible there, but the sure way to know is to call the store!! If they say there's no dedicated linked lot, you can park at the iParking Day Park lot :)

Inside Pocha Dubai: good for solo drinking or a group?
The inside of Pocha Dubai wasn't too big or too small, so it looked fine for group gatherings while also being good for small groups or solo visits!
The windows are big floor-to-ceiling ones so it doesn't feel stuffy, and when it's nice out they open the windows, which would give even more of an outdoor-seating feeling haha.
There used to be one table each set up on the terrace side when the weather was nice, but this time I visited, they weren't there.??!! Personally I really like Pocha Dubai's terrace seats haha lol.

There's also a TV mounted on one wall, so it's a Seongbok Station spot I'd recommend when there's a soccer or baseball game on 🙌

The welcome draft beer and kidney bean side dish
Something unusual — the moment you sit down, they give you a welcome beer..! How did they know I came here for draft beer~~ Getting a welcome draft beer is so appreciated ><
They give you kidney beans as a basic side, and there's a subtle fun in picking them apart one by one, plus they actually go pretty well as a beer snack haha.

Pocha Dubai menu: bar snacks and drinks
[Menu board] The food menu ranges from stews to dry snacks, so there was plenty to enjoy whether it's round one, two, or three of the night! The drinks were nicely varied too — beer, soju, highballs — so it was easy to pick something to fit your taste!

They sell coffee at a bar..?? Must be for people who can't drink!! It's even really cheap at ₩2,000, so it's the perfect option for anyone who dislikes both carbonated drinks and alcohol~
What we ordered at Pocha Dubai and what it cost

Stir-fried beef with peppers: the tortilla plate is the highlight
[Stir-fried beef with peppers] Looking at other blogs, it seems a lot of people order the signature menu item, jjapati. I went back and forth on ordering that too, but ended up choosing the "stir-fried beef with peppers" instead!!
Once I heard the plate it's served on is a tortilla, I immediately committed to the "stir-fried beef with peppers" — I love tortillas lol.

The portion was bigger than I expected, which surprised me!! The heat of the peppers was somewhere between cheongyang chili and cucumber pepper..? It seemed more like cheongyang chili, but not so spicy you couldn't eat it — spicy enough to be stress-relieving and kind of addictive~haha. The beef was seasoned nice and salty, making it a perfect beer snack — beer food needs to be a little bold to taste good, right??

When you crush up the tortilla and pile the beef and peppers on top, the seasoning is just right, and the crispy texture and the meat's texture come together beautifully — it was so good.
If you run out of tortilla, you can order an extra one for ₩1,000!!

Ordering with a dried pollock bell instead of a buzzer
There's a cute dried pollock hanging there, and instead of a buzzer, you ring this bell to order.

I never intended to get drunk. —Editorial intent.— Okay, that's my quote of the day starting now.

Restrooms at Pocha Dubai
The restroom is located outside, separated into men's/women's, a pretty ordinary building restroom, but it wasn't too small so it was comfortable to use! :)
Is Pocha Dubai worth a visit? Final verdict
Pocha Dubai seemed good for group gatherings and the vibe was also easy for solo drinking :) The staff were very kind too, and the snacks were solid for a simple drink. Next time I visit, I plan to try the signature menu item, jjapati. Recommended as a good bar near Seongbok Station~
