While looking for good spots near Centum City Station, I finally checked out Sijeunikeu Shinsegae Department Store Centum City Branch, which had been on my radar for a while haha 🍰💗 The cakes on display as soon as you walk in are just so pretty...

I looked around Sijeunikeu inside Shinsegae Department Store Centum City, and apparently Shinsegae only has this brand in three locations — Daegu, Gangnam, and Centum City — all on the basement floor!

Dessert that changes every season with fresh seasonal fruit

Sijeunikeu isn't your typical cake shop — it's a place that showcases a different dessert each season using fresh, in-season fruit! According to the sign in the store, they select the two freshest seasonal fruits and stick to a principle of making and selling everything the same day.

When I visited, it happened to be peach season 🍑💕 Great news for a peach lover like me haha

They were also selling fig and mango :) The mango at Sijeunikeu was a bit special — apparently it's ripened for a whopping 170 hours! Fruit lovers definitely can't resist that..!

Signature 'Farm Overflow' series

Sijeunikeu's signature menu is called the 'Farm Overflow' series — can you see how the fruit is piled so high it looks like it's spilling over?

Just looking at it feels like the fruit could come tumbling down any second, which makes it great for photos too haha

Since the fruit changes with the season, you get to meet a different menu depending on when you visit — that's part of the charm! Sijeunikeu also seems to value freshness in how the products are made.

They use 100% dairy cream, bring in fresh fruit every dawn, and bake the sponge in-house without emulsifiers — you can tell a lot of care goes into everything from ingredients to process 🍑 Since they handle the entire production themselves to make a good product, you can trust the seasonal-fruit cakes a bit more.

Good to know before you buy (exchange/refund, cooler bag)

Cakes cannot be exchanged or refunded once purchased! It's a good idea to check the menu and the condition of the cake carefully before ordering haha. Keep this in mind if you're buying a cake as a gift!

You can also get a cooler bag when you buy a cake, though it costs an extra ₩2,000. If it's hot out or you need to travel before eating the cake, it might be worth getting the cooler bag too haha

Overall, what I liked about Sijeunikeu is that you get a new-feeling dessert every season using seasonal fruit >.< The visuals are pretty too, so it seems like a good choice for special occasions or gift cakes 💗

Peach Cream Basque ₩29,000 — how does it taste?

I ordered the Peach Cream Basque for ₩29,000 🍑🍰 Since I visited during peach season, I couldn't just walk past the peach menu.

I was curious what a Basque cheesecake combined with peach would taste like, so I picked it right away haha

The Peach Cream Basque had peaches piled high on top, so it looked sweet and inviting even before taking a bite. 'Soft cream + Basque cheesecake + peach' = 💗 A combination that anyone who loves fruit desserts would enjoy!

With the peach added, it tasted a bit fresher and brighter than eating just the cheesecake alone, which I liked 🍑

If you're looking for a dessert to share with family or friends, or a same-day cake in Busan, this seems like a nice, easy pick! 🍑🍰 Since it uses seasonal peaches, it has that seasonal feel, and the price is relatively reasonable too 💗
