Guro bar for gambas and buffalo wings: Monthly Beer
In short
Monthly Beer Guro Digital Complex Station Branch is a bar in Guro, Seoul, with a broad range of shareable drinking snacks. I had gambas al ajillo with plump shrimp and buffalo wings with fries, and the menu made it easy to accommodate different tastes. Verdict: a solid pick for a group dinner or second round of drinks in Guro.

When several people want to grab drinks in Guro Digital Complex, choosing food is surprisingly difficult, right? One person wants chicken while another is looking for something spicy, so you end up seeking out somewhere with lots of options. At Monthly Beer Guro Digital Complex Station Branch, there were so many snacks I wanted that choosing actually took a while.

The complimentary snacks!!!! They first brought out nostalgic snacks like Jjanggu and chicken-leg-shaped crackers.

There were so many menu options that it was hard to choose
Looking over the menu at Monthly Beer, so many dishes caught my eye: gambas al ajillo, buffalo wings and fries, charcoal-smoked chicken, pork dubu-kimchi (tofu with stir-fried kimchi and pork), and spicy boneless chicken feet.
There were also dishes like bingsu (shaved ice dessert), fried foods, pizza, and pasta, so it seemed to offer plenty of choices whether you were just having a casual drink or visiting as a group to share different snacks. I spent quite a while deciding, then chose gambas al ajillo and buffalo wings with fries that day.

Gambas with plump shrimp
I really liked how plump the shrimp were in the gambas al ajillo. It can be disappointing when gambas shrimp are small or overcooked, but here I could really enjoy the texture of the shrimp itself.

It also had the flavor of garlic and oil, which made it great with beer, and I could see why gambas is such a popular drinking snack. If you visit with several people, rather than ordering just one snack, it would be nice to order this alongside other dishes and share.
Buffalo wings when you crave a bold flavor
The buffalo wings and fries had a completely different feel from the gambas. They had that signature punchy buffalo-wing flavor.
They were especially the kind of thing you keep picking at while drinking, so even though I meant to eat lightly, I kept reaching for the snacks. The fries came with them too, making them nice to alternate with the spicy wings.

A good option for group gatherings at a Guro bar

When choosing a bar in Guro Digital Complex, taste matters, but so does having a wide range of menu choices when you go with several people, right? Monthly Beer has everything from familiar snacks like chicken and gambas to dubu-kimchi, chicken feet, hot pots, and bingsu, so it is easy to choose something when you are with people who have different tastes.
The venue presents itself as a place with an atmosphere that is good for talking with friends or coworkers, so it also seemed worth considering when looking for a company dinner or second-round spot in Guro.
Especially if several people are getting together after work in Guro Digital Complex, it is important to find somewhere where everyone can pick the snacks they want and share them. In that respect, I liked the menu selection.
This time I had gambas and buffalo wings, but next time I would like to try the charcoal-smoked chicken, pork dubu-kimchi, and spicy boneless chicken feet too. They even have mango and ripe-persimmon bingsu for a sweet finish, which looked nice.
To sum it up, Monthly Beer was a good match for anyone looking for a Guro Digital Complex bar with lots of snack choices. If you are planning a group drinking gathering in Guro, it may be worth saving this one and picking out the menu in advance.
