Gamsam-dong Italian restaurant with free parking: Etrenne Jukjeon

In short

Etrenne Jukjeon Branch is an Italian restaurant on the first floor of the World Mark West End retail building in Gamsam-dong, Dalseo, Daegu. A Naver reservation meant no wait even at evening peak time, the building lot was registered free of charge after the meal, and the table shared cream tenderloin steak, half-and-half lasagna and Toowoomba pasta. Apart from the maze-like layout of the building itself, Etrenne Jukjeon Branch works well for an anniversary or date dinner.

Etrenne Jukjeon Branch is an Italian restaurant on the 1st floor of the World Mark West End commercial building in Gamsam-dong, Dalseo, Daegu. It's a special dining space where you can enjoy high-level Italian cooking with friendly service in a quiet, cozy atmosphere.

Besides weekday evenings, if you visit during the day there's a well put-together lunch menu that's an even better deal.

You can use the large commercial building's parking lot for free, so there's no parking stress even if you drive there.

Thanks to booking ahead through Naver, even though it was evening peak time, I could get seated fast and comfortably with no waiting at all.

The place I visited today is the Etrenne World Mark West End location — already well known as the Gamsam-dong/Jukjeon Station steak spot, famous for its lasagna, Toowoomba pasta, and lunch set.

I drove there and was able to use a very spacious parking lot dedicated to the building; after the meal, I told staff my license plate and they registered it for free parking.

That said, the inside of the commercial building is a bit complicated and maze-like, so first-time visitors might get a little lost finding their way — worth keeping in mind beforehand.

I too got a bit confused looking for the restaurant after parking, but thanks to the helpful signs around, I made it to my destination safely.

Inside Etrenne Jukjeon Branch: small but upscale

The inside of Etrenne Jukjeon Branch is compact in size, but the interior is sleek and upscale. The moment I opened the door and stepped in, I was greeted by a much cozier and more elegant atmosphere than I'd imagined from outside.

The overall space was small, but the interior was so sleek and upscale that it would be perfect for a special anniversary or date.

On top of that, the staff member who showed us to our table was so kind and warm from start to finish that I was in a great mood even before the meal started.

How the cream tenderloin steak and half-and-half lasagna tasted

After sitting down and carefully going through the menu, we didn't hesitate to order the half-and-half lasagna and cream tenderloin steak, said to be the restaurant's signature dishes.

To make things even more filling, I also added the thick, rich Toowoomba pasta, which is usually my favorite — ending up with a very hearty spread of three dishes.

Not long after, the cream tenderloin steak arrived first, showing off a gorgeous look — the combination of tender meat and rich sauce was truly a work of art.

What really won me over was how the finish had a slight kick of spice to cut through the richness of the cream sauce — right up my alley.

The meat was cooked just right too, melting away smoothly in the mouth with no chewiness at all.

Next came the half-and-half lasagna, served in a heavy, hot cast-iron dish that held heat for a long time — it grabbed my attention right away.

The sweet-and-tangy, rich tomato sauce base was impressive, and being able to enjoy two distinctly different flavors in one dish made it very satisfying overall.

How does Etrenne's Toowoomba pasta compare to Outback's?

Etrenne Jukjeon Branch's Toowoomba pasta had a base that felt slightly different, in a good way, from the one at Outback Steakhouse. The last dish to dress up the table was the thick, hearty Toowoomba pasta — something I never skip whenever I go to Outback.

The base was a bit different from what I'm used to at Outback, but if anything, this restaurant's own distinctive savory flavor was excellent and outstanding.

The chewy noodles were coated all the way through with sauce rather than sitting on the surface, so with every bite I got a mouthful of nutty, spicy flavor.

All three dishes I ordered had a clear freshness to the ingredients, and the portions were more generous than I expected, so I ate to my heart's content and felt full and satisfied.

All three dishes laid out together on the table

The outstanding quality of the food, the quiet and clean atmosphere of the restaurant, and the attentive, kind service from the staff all came together perfectly, without a single flaw.

My time at Etrenne, the Gamsam-dong/Jukjeon Station steak spot where you can enjoy high-level Italian food at reasonable prices, was pure healing.

If you're looking for a nice restaurant nearby with a great atmosphere and guaranteed good taste, I'd definitely recommend the place I visited today.
